Exporting DDS Files

While looking around to create my skins I found the NVIDIA tools that allow you to drag and drop a PSD file and export as a DDS file.

I was using GIMP for creating the DDS file but not for the actual painting process.

As I didn't find anything on this forum I thought it might be useful for others.

This tool will allow you to use any paint or drawing package that will export a PSD file.
It's especially useful if you wish to use vector graphics software to design your skins rather than raster graphics so you don't get jagged lines, etc.

Does someone know a similar font as the sign: VAN RENGS

I know it's hand painted but it's technically impossible to trace it of the car.

Hi,

Mucking about with skin painting and have the car painted and all is well when game loads up but as soon as I go into a race or test, the skin is either all black or all over the place. Any ideas? Do I need to upload it to the site even if im just practicing with it?.

.PSD to .DDS Help

Hey, this might be a bit different to most other requests but i recently have finish both my f1 and f2 skins however every time i try and convert it to a DDS it either refuses to load the skin or loads it without any of the decals and paint and leaving it blank, i thought at first it was just my game acting up but then the dds's failed to also be added for the lates f2 skinpack. so i beleve that for one reason or another my nvidia does not want to work and correctly change the skins. So if anyone is willing to correctly change the skins for me then please PM me on here and i will send the .PSD file to you, so you can correctly change them for me so then i can send them into the next skinpacks. the help would be greatly appreiated.

SmiT DDS Conversion Error

Hi,

Spare room for gaming not finished as i need electrician back in but in the meantime I've been sorting my tarmac F1 car. I've have been trying to convert my updated SmiT skin from pds to dds but get an error saying its unsupported format. Tried it with a fresh new template and get the same. Any other chassis seems to work fine. Any ideas?
