The Saloon Admin team have agreed to move next weeks meeting at Sexbierum from the usual Wednesday 3rd to Tuesday 2nd April 2024.

The European Championship is this coming Monday at Northampton Shaleway and we have our qualifiers: 1, 889, 80, 910, 184, 238, 92, 284, 147, 800, 293, 924, 167, 680, 124, 143, 777, 285, 461, 589 (As of 26th July) European Championship Qualification: The European Championship will be a standalone race held before the meeting. The race will be open to the top 20 available drivers from the national points. A last chance race will be held before the European Championship race run in graded order, the top 4 finishers in this race will qualify for the final. Championship: The European Championship will be a 20 lap race. The grid will be drawn randomly before the event. The winner of this race will be declared European Champion after any appeals have been decided. The European champion MUST display a red and yellow chequered wing (unless a higher ranking title is held). The grid will be drawn at Kings Lynn 31st July and each driver will pick out their grid slot. Those not at Kings Lynn have chosen from 1 of 3 members who is attending to draw out their grid slot. The upcoming meeting at Skegness for the UK Open Championship on the 7th July has been cancelled due to Euro 2020 and a replacement date for this meeting will not be found. The UK Open Championship will be added to the Bristol event the following week and will be run as an extra race after the normal meeting final. The 2021 UKDirt Saloon Stockcar season will now run through 38 meetings as opposed to 39. Apologies for any inconvenience.

All drivers racing at these designated events will score points in 2 ways as follows: Attendance Points: Euro / British / National - 12 points English / Scottish / Irish - 10 points All other WR events - 6 points Performance Points: The top 10 in the Championship races will score from 10pts for 1st down to 1pt for 10th, multiplied as follows: Euro / British x 4 National x 3 English / Scottish / Irish x 2 Other WR x 1 In addition to the above, the top twenty in each tracks Track Championship will receive 20,19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 points. Tracks with 1 or 2 meetings will score normal points, Tracks with 3 or 4 meetings will be doubled. Tracks with 5 or more will be trebled. World Rankings will run up to the last meeting before the world final at which point the top 24 cars in the rankings will automatically qualify for the WF in points order. any reserves will be taken from the next positions. Last Chance: The last chance will be a 16 lap race, non-points scoring, 24 cars. The grid will then be formed in points order of those who are not already on the World Final grid. The Top 4 in this race will join the back of the WF grid giving a 28-car final. World Final: The world final will be a 25 lap race. The Grid will be formed in World Ranking Points order. Drivers qualifying from the last chance qualifier will be added to the back of the grid in the order they finished in that race. If the World Champion does not qualify, the driver will be added to the back of the grid to make a 29-car final The winner of this race will be declared World Champion after any appeals have been decided. Points will score: 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 The World Champion must display a gold roof until they lose the title. National Points - Major 2 The National Points is whoever scores the most points throughout the entire season. The National Points Champion must run Silver on their roof until they lose the title. National Series - Major 3 There will be 6 Rounds in the National Series at the end of the season. These are shown on the fixtures. Seeded drivers are World, European, British and National Champions, together with the next 4 available drivers from the National Points table. In the case that a single driver holds multiple titles, additional drivers will be taken from the National Points table. For the National Series rounds the "champions" grade is suspended and the National Series drivers will start as their own grade at the back of the grid. Drivers in this grade will line up in Reverse National Series Points Order for the Final Only (Whoever is leading the shootout will be right at the back). National Series Scoring The National Series is a separate points chart starting from zero. All races will score as per normal National Points. The National Series Finale will score double points. The highest points scorer will be the National Series Champion. The National Series Champion must run 2 silver stripes on the centre of their roof until they lose the title. British Championship - Major 4 Qualification: The British championship will be a stand-alone meeting counting towards national points & world rankings. Each driver will have 4 qualifying heats in which they are able to score qualifying points for the final. The top 28 points scoring drivers after all the heats are completed will qualify for the championship final. Championship: The British championship will be a 20 lap race. Whites & Yellows Championship - Non Major Qualification: Selected meetings over the UKDirt Saloon Stockcar season host Whites and Yellows races that score points towards the Whites and Yellows Championship. These are shown on the fixtures. Points will be scored from the heats throughout the selected meetings. Championship: The W&Y's championship will be a 20 lap race, 28 cars (max). The Championship will be a gridded race, based on the Whites and Yellows points. The winner of this race will be declared Whites and Yellows champion after any appeals have been decided. Champion of Champions - Non Major Championship title winners, Meeting Final & AC Winners, non points scoring, 20 laps run at the end of the meeting The Bumper Trophy / Superbowl / Cornish - Non Majors Qualification: These championships will be a stand-alone meetings counting towards national points & world rankings. Each driver will have 4 qualifying heats in which they are able to score qualifying points for the final. The top 28 points scoring drivers after all the heats are completed will qualify for the final. Championship: The finals will be a 20 lap race. The winner of this race will be declared The Bumper Trophy / Superbowl / Cornish Champion after any appeals have been decided. Memorials - Non Majors Charlene Kingston / Clive Grief / Steve Newman - Memorial race is the meeting final. Gordon Barclay Memorial - Non points, clutch start, closed grades, 16 laps run after the final. Ray Gunn Tribute - Non points, closed grades, 20 laps run after the final.

New Rule - Right Turning to the infield with immediate effect. Deliberately right turning or leaning another car to the infield is not allowed, i.e. turning into a car forcing them to hit an object/wall/tyre on the infield.

The European Championship is this coming Monday at Northampton Shaleway and we have our qualifiers: 229, 1, 889, 92, 184, 691, 80, 143, 468, 236, 981, 147, 910, 777, 653, 124, 186, 924, 100, 167 (As of 28th July) European Championship Qualification: The European Championship will be a standalone race held before the meeting. The race will be open to the top 20 available drivers from the national points. A last chance race will be held before the European Championship race run in graded order, the top 4 finishers in this race will qualify for the final. Championship: The European Championship will be a 20 lap race. The grid will be drawn randomly before the event. The winner of this race will be declared European Champion after any appeals have been decided. The European champion MUST display a red and yellow chequered wing (unless a higher ranking title is held). The grid will be drawn at Skegness 1st August and each driver will pick out their grid slot. Those not at Skegness have chosen a member who is attending to draw out their grid slot. They will contest the first round this week at Arena Essex. From the UKDirt F1 rules: 6 meetings in the latter part of the season count towards the Shootout Series. The top 8 drivers in the National Points Championship before the first round will contest the Shootout Series. All drivers start with zero points and scoring is as per normal meeting points. At Shootout Series meetings the Shootout drivers will all race from Superstar, and any superstar not in the series will race from Red. At Shootout Series meetings the Shootout drivers will be gridded for A-finals in reverse Shootout points order. At half way (after 3 rounds) the bottom 4 drivers will be dropped from the Shootout Series. The last round of the Shootout Series (the Shootout Finale) will be double-point scoring. The 2019 Shootout Series Champion is entitled to silver stripes until the 2020 Shootout Series.
