samson Posted June 13, 2005 Report Share Posted June 13, 2005 my pc was in getting viruses removed and multiplayer worked fine before it went into the shop but now it doesn't ive uninstalled nascar and all the patches and mods deleted the hasbro interactive folder rebooted pc and re installed everythin and still nothin. the windows xp firewall is turned off im running zone alarms. i can race offline but cant race online. there is also a few window xp hotfix in my add remove programmes as shown in the attachment below that werent there wen i put pc in to get fixed. any help will be much appretiated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have a look through the options or search google, it's fairly simple to do. I wouldn't advise turning it off though as your computer will be back in as quick as it came out. wrighty496 Posted June 14, 2005 Report Share Posted June 14, 2005 I wouldn't advise turning it off though as your computer will be back in as quick as it came out. 20535[/snapback] i'd go along with this too - i use zone alarm and if you set heat.bin (usually in a temp folder in your documents and settings area - do a hard drive search for heat.bin but its not the PF (prefetch) file, its a bin file) with full access rights in and out (for ping responses) heat works great for me without disabling ZA, both for private and Jolt servers. I have the firewall turned off (i.e. low setting) for trusted sites only, those being our network connections behind the router and my own LAN port on the machine - therefore i can serve for me and BB on the other machine with a 0 ping cheers .........
