The Nelson Tigers after a slow start to the meeting found their feet quickly and ran out the winners after a close fought final with the reigning and multiple previous champions, the Rotarua Rebels. The new Manawatu Mustangs team for this year started well and showed promise but fell short at the semi final stage The Mustangs cliched third place in the runoff race with the hastily put together GB Lions team who certainly didn't disgrace themselves throughout the meeting considering how late it was that they got sorted. The Mustangs also won the Revenge race at the end of the meeting with only about 5 cars finishing! Rebels - 89 Tigers - 72 Mustangs - 56 Lions - 11 Semi 1 - Rebels, Lions Semi 2 - Tigers, Mustangs 3rd Place Runoff - Mustangs, Lions Teams Final - Tigers, Rebels It's the World 240 next up, Keep an eye out for details of that soon.
