is that - as you race or as you watch the replay?

if you can, move your files you want to keep from your pc - via your laptop - if you have setup workgroups etc... Using it this way means you are just accessing the files - not physically using the machine as such... retrieve what you can - then format as suggested... My missus got some warning pop up a few weeks back - i went through the resgistry - changed many values to dodgy messages with F's and C's written in place of the normal entries (helps vent frustrations and errors them when they try to run)... The next reboot had around 15-20 of my messages pop up before login screen - i conceeded defeat - removed the files i needed and re-installed from fresh full format... when you format - make 2 partitions - a large main one for programs and os - the 2nd smaller one for files, updates, patches - need to keep stuff... That way - if you need to format - you only do the program/os one - meaning installation is quicker... * this should not be treated as a back-up option - only as a means of quick repair - HDD's die - be prepared * ** Back-ups should be stored away on removed media and away from the machine ** *** if its crucial data - move a back-up to a trusted location - incase of fire (family, friends, work etc) *** as usual - this advice is always too late - but it helps for next time - virus's will never leave the net, information is empowerment and leads to money... basic supply n demand... I've now got my missus using a noddy account - with Run-As admin rarely used - even on certain icons which we know are safe... we ripped out most of the IE allows too... She gets many pop-ups when surfing - but now she reads them all and takes heed of my intruction... She lost about a gig of family photos... i've not told her about the back ups yet - letting her sweat it out I'm no expert, i only have 10 years commercial experience of support etc, but since the days of the XT 8086 and spectrum - i have been using pc's... I hope this helps lads, we've all had dodgy mails, files from both the net and from removable and bonners late at night - it's not easy to be problem free when surfing, but as the old rule says "Be good and safe or be extremely careful"... If it's free and shouldn't be - there can be hidden prices as described by this keygen housed trojan... keep your bits n bytes safe people... Mackers

(i think) someone made 2 offline packs - full grid packs of unlimited RL skins - still today - it is my favourite offline pack... being the newer OS - vista has loads of weird stuff... everything is hiding under new names etc... It has 2 lots of program files, one called program files, the other is program files x86... more than likely due to its extra abilities and functions... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista for more info... yeah - we got there in the end... after removing UAC - we removed everything - then put it back on - ran the updates - job done... we tried it everywhere - 1st without turning UAC off... when we turned it off - we put a copy in each - but 86 works... took most of the evening, he's moving tomorrow - so not sure how long til he has no net and when he'll have the net again... still... Think a sticky needs to be written up for vista users... basics are... turn UAC off... install game install patches try it out 1st time online - tell vista not to block... cos when i get another machine - it'll have vista and i'm sure to forget this... ok - google helped on your seed of knowledge there... we disabled the UAC... But - still no banger mod... The car manager is working - its loading skins into the main dirtbanger folder - but it seems the mod - depsite installing - hasn't initialised... it has the correct ending on the target of the bangers icon... any ideas? We've even copied my install and pasted into his - same issue - manager works - but banger mod doesn't initialise... odd, i've moved the same install here from machine to machine - with out issue... it's something vista based... He is admin... Mackers...

well, we had a nightmare on his machine... we managed to get it all on there - patches run etc... when we launch the bangers icon - it seems to be loading nascar heat... no banger picture in the back ground... standard nascar... we've checked targets etc - both are the same endings as mine - although path is slightly different on my mates (vista)... we ran the patches correctly - the banger icons appears - the folder appears - everything looks good - but it just loads nascar screens... Nightmare... Any ideas, Mackers... PS what is UAC - user acceptence control or something? it did say it didn't trust much of what we were doing... i wonder if thats part of it - but i know naught on vista...

thats good stuff... I've seen a clip on you-tube that had commentary - i think it was even on TV... Does anyone know of a good place to buy the older footage on DVD? I'm interested in more of the 70's to 90's stuff, especially from Dover, Coombe Valley ; Essex, Arena ; London, Wimbo and Standlake tracks... I guess the track-websites are best - but i'm not sure... The only footage i have is the legendary "incoming series" done by the edit legend himself Flying Si... Unless someone wants an offsite storage area for their back-ups of their banger racing dvd's - i can assit Any team stuff would be good too... Team sites? i'm very interested in this, i'll do a skin over this weekend... I've not used one of these before, but the idea of a good sensitive damage model sounds great - i reckon they should stop after a few hard hits - after all i thought tanks were banned lol... But thats just me, i use incar with manual gears and clutch - glad there is something that is sensitive to damage - bit more realistic...

this is odd - i can't get pinged... Does anyone know what ports are used for bangers? i can connect to the jolts - fine - i can ping them, i can ping other ips aswell - but i can't get pinged... i selected the option to enable ping response but it made no difference... odd - really odd - i even set rules within the firewall to allow all in and out - but still no pingability - lol it's like being on the pull in sandles and socks - i just ain't happening... not sure if i'll have this grief with either a linksys wireless access gateway or even a ropey dlink hardwired router - has anyone got any of these routers - inc. the netgear with adsl? it seems cable users are bomb proof - no problems must be this pesky roaming ip along with a router thats acting as my dhcp server... i'm trying to get a response from my isp to see if they offer a fixed ip - anyone else use Tiscali adsl? receeding my hairline to beyond a joke with this...
