Could it be some people are afraid of losing their red top / always winning status? maybe they fear the competition rFactor F1 may bring.. whatever happens i would only subscribe to ukdirt if there was an rFactor F1 leauge as the Heat mod really seems dated and i would not pay to race it. this is not aimed at anybody in particular , it's just a theory.

I will add this , but i must say i can't stand arguing with people on the internet , it feels so pointless i prefere to look somebody in the eye , but how on earth you can say HEAT has better game play i just don't know. and i'll leave it at that , thats just my opinion aswell.

I have been looking to buy a wheel and probably will if a season starts for these , because i can see from the few meetings we have had you are going to need one to run with the faster guys , now i just have to decide what one to buy and how much to spend , the G25 looks awesome but i guess you need to decide wether your hobby warrants a 170 pound wheel , i doubt my GF would be very impressed

I'm not taking the [b][color=red]FILTERED[/color][/b] here , but i think this is a good sign for this mod , people getting worked up about it even though we only have a beta release and 1 car to choose , Why don't we learn from this and let's all try to be a bit calmer next meeting? i know it's hard if you get taken out but as some already said it is only a test meet after all. i am not the fastest driver there are many faster than me but i can offer this small bit of advice regarding set ups , if you use a pad try lowering your Streering lock to 10-12 and see if that helps , if you have got a set that drumb has sent he has lock set to 30 and on a pad i find it very very hard to control with such a high setting. if you have a wheel i dunno what to suggest.

i thought i might have been able to sneak up the inside of you guys but i got caught up really thats half the battle with these cars , sometimes you can dodge the crashes sometimes you can't , but thats what makes them exciting . you always have to think ahead with them , if you see a crash about to happen try to judge the best line to take to avoid it , i really love racing these they are great

Had a few laps on drumbs server last night with this , this will be one of them tracks that cause track road blocks when somebody has a spin , i dunno about you guys but i used to love seeing that happen when i watched the real racing , it is a really thin track , should be a real good laugh in a meeting.

I will give this 1 bump as ep2 was released incase anybody missed it , it really is worth watching

The thing with these cars seems to be they have weight and hitting takes some practice to get right , i honestly belive when people get better we will see some fantastic racing for instance last night i got hooked on the rear bumpers of some of the newer guys while trying to lap them , now i'm not moaning! just an observation i could feel the weight of the car in front as it slowed my own car down , thats where we all need to learn ,this is so different to heat and people seem to be used to that , it will take a while but when people get in control of these cars they are nothing short of awesome imo

I really enjoyed this evenings racing , although there was a bit to much arguing going on , which is a shame as i look forward to these sunday night meetings , still some very good races and i think i got 2nd in the points which is a very good result for me being a pad user. all in all a nice little track , you can really give it some welly once the tyres warm up. i will watch the replays later they should give a few laughs.

I'll let an admin answer the first question since i'm not really sure , i think there will be something though , as for the lap times , why don't you join us sunday ,it is on an open server no password needed , some of the faster guys will be more than happy to fix you up with a setup

Yes there is something up with that server i have 8mb adsl with 750kbs downloads on uk servers and it still lags for me , i don't think it is an official uk dirt server , it's just been named that , i might be wrong though. i'm sure the admin will be able to answer your question fuller.

i thought about it after i posted , i suppose 13 is good for a beta release meeting , but we did have up to 23 the first 1 or 2 meets i think , it was good fun anyway , this meet was the first time i done badly , 1st race i got tied up and span and then got t boned by half the pack coming down the straight , lol , it was crazy , well suffice to say it broke my suspension and i made 2 laps before retiring. rest of the meet was quite bad 2nd race i lost suspension again and the GN was much the same , the final was ok and i managed to hold on for 3rd , hutch getting the 2nd spot on the last few laps.

Another good meet , low show of 13 but still some good races , thanks all who raced , cya next week.

Yea some of the wheels look amazing and very expensive it surprised me to learn that dale earnhart jnr races in a league or ran a few races atleast. i see he got a 10th place on his 3rd race the noob.

Thought some of you might be intrested in these videos , i did not realise some people were so into sim car racing on the PC , in episode 2 they talk about some of the high end wheels that are avalable i suppose it's more for the nascar guys that take the racing very serious.

Looks good m8 , you should make a known track as you seem to have the talent looking at them screenshots. i look forward to trying this.
