I thought the Elite league playoff was a great spectacle but the wrong team won for me. When a team has to use the double point rides both away and at HOME then they don't deserve it in my eyes.

Reading were the better side and going too many points ahead proved costly.

Anyway, fantastic meeting and what a crowd. Never seen the showground looking like that.

I thought Richard Hall was a pillock tbh, he moans about being excluded when he absolutely totalled McGowan, and then tries to thump Lemon when he got the same back!!

Being a bit of a speedway fan myself, I was at Peterborough for the final cheering on Reading. The place went absolutely nuts when Peterborough got that final 5-1 to win by just the single point. Although my team lost, I was glad I was there to witness a great meeting.

I wish I'd been around in the days of the autospeedway meetings. I know it didn't take off but imagine what it could have been like. Profesional drivers each racing for a team. Travelling all round the uk and continent to race. And absolutely masive crowds watching.

Funny how speedway bikes don't really cost much more than stockcars and yet the riders are profesional and we pay out huge sum's in pursuit of our hobby.

Yea was a great night Gonz, supporting Reading my self (only because Zagar rides for them and being a Trelawney Fan before it got sadly closed) me and my old man was cheering for Reading and they looked like to have it in the bag but even tho they lost i was glad Peterbough won as they proved to come together as a team at the end, Rider of the night for me was Mark Lemon as coming from Stoke which is in the lower league and riding like hes been riding Elite league for years (yes we was cheering when he done Hans! ) Also good to see Cornishmen Chris "Bomber" Harris in the GP's next year been riding brilliant all year.

Cheers Si
