Nick M48 Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Sounds like an over heating problem or a loose connection, maybe a loose RAM module? Disconect everything that you don't need, just try booting with 1 hard drive, no DVD drives etc, basically just try it with an absolute minimum needed. Has your motherboard got on-board graphics? if so remove any graphics cards and run it using the on-board, same with sound.
Allan268 Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Definitely sounds like an overheating problem, could just be a clogged graphics fan.
chris Posted November 12, 2006 Author Report Posted November 12, 2006 ta for the help think its the motherboard thats broke tried all you said nick running on minimum setup and checked all connections but can't get onto windows screen or bios screen tried another psu also
Guest Scrapman53 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 If it is the motherboard that is knackered, don't throw away the Hard drive as you will be able to salvage your data from it if the worst comes to the worst.
Allan268 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Actually i never read the full post first time round due to no paragraphs! What scrappy said above is right.
