Andymek Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Updated racewall.net from tonights meeting with the results and winners chart 11863[/snapback] Great to see ya back at it again Kevin!! T'was a decent enough meeting again tonight I thought, with 607 having his first meeting of the new season tonight in the 'loons but he didnt have too good a night however, when he blew a diff on the warm up lap of heat 1 and retired from the meeting after damaging a gearbox in heat 2.Car was looking the bizz with a fresh set of panels and some nice signwork Heat wins tonight for 241 and 501 takin the other heat and yet another final!! Also a first meet of the season for 36 who too had a neat, newly re-panelled car. 689 livened things up again in heat 2 when he nailed the leading car of 501 from a lap down!! Mr Moodie was the man to beat again tonight in the 2s, taking 2 heats and the Final, and returning a decent 5th in the GN.281 took the other heat with George Mac jnr takin the GN. Here's hoping for more loons again next week!!
Guest leasj1 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 nice to see the young lad 501 getting some success, hopefully he keeps it up, and with him being in tullys hands hes safe there.
Badura_Racing258 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Williamson nailing everything again i see...but has he took anyone out on the same lap? And doesn't he love the brakes when someones coming up behind him? If that doesn't work, nothing like pulling off and wimping out a challenge.... Good turn out of cars in both F2's and Saloons for a change, with hopefulyl a few more saloons still to come out. Nice to see some other F2 guys up, 888 was one who done alright and got stuck in about it, was impressed with him. What happened to the 658 car in the stock rods? There was a coming together with the 17 car...but how did 658 land on his roof wheere he should be?
Sparky961 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 From where I was standing looked as though 17 half spun lattka into the wall and it was at the angle where the car just lifts and rolls. Some words exchanged afterwards by the two drivers and had a coming together stopped by the marshalls. Best meeting this year and quite a big crowd too. was good to see and the weather was good aswell. cheers sparky
Badura_Racing258 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Perhaps the good weather was the reason for the good turn-out? Not many drivers like driving in the wet, or on anything less than a dry circuit...? Speaking of coming-togethers, Williamson and Heeps hada bit of a ding-dong at the end of the final, with Williamson starting it off by reversing into Pete Heeps, and i think it was just the 'principle' of doing it, that set the 544 car driver off... Now, if Williamson had any balls, he wouldn't come onto track first to get pole, and when he knows someones going to go after him, come out last Won't be long until there is a list of drivers putting Williamson away, i'll go for the 501 car when he gets the chance (lapping him again )
Kev152 Posted April 3, 2005 Author Report Posted April 3, 2005 Lattka incident, looked like 17 hit 647 (Jonathon Lattka) sideways, and went towards wall, Gunner seen it, and went flat out into 17, clipped front quarter of 17, and spun into wall rolling the car.
Badura_Racing258 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 I'm sure 647 doesn't need any help, but then again..thats team racing for you
