the way i do it is hover over the selected edges and a little symbol appears. then you just drag it to half the width of the car. i don't bother with typing a number in the little extrude box. btw is that a pulsar?

heres the little symbol. lol i had to take a pic of the screen with my camera coz print screen hides the cursor!

I had the same problem as you, everything fine till it came to extruding bit, have you got to the bit where you have to place the box to make the opening for the rear window, that seemed like a head ache too, sorry to crash your post but i'll be looking out on the replies you get....

Isn't a Pulsar basically a Sunny on Steroids anyway?

:o My mate would beat you to death with the chocolate cogged gearbox out of his Pulsar if he heard you say that!

Even though it is just a Sunny with a Huge turbo, and intercooler.......and 4 WD :scared15:

Those Pulser/Sunny's are actually VERY fast, down Brighton Speed trials there was one that beat a couple of Ferrari's over quarter of a mile.

That seems fast to me

It wasn't tuned that much, but there was a Skyline down there, i saw the same car at the Brighton motor show and got chatting to the guy. He had spent £100,000 on the engine alone! The Skyline had over 1,000 horsepower! :o

It was a joy to behold, seeing it on the line, revving it into the red line, then letting the clutch fly up, unleashing a stampede of angry horses, wheel spinning in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear plus a little puff in 4th. Certainly was impressive.

And all road legal, crazy!

Imagine the cost to insure that!

Is that the 1 where 1 of the lights at the front is an Air intake??

And i watched this program on men and motors before the porn,a nd a toyota supra went over 200 mph and the windows were bending as he got to 180 mph. and snapped in his face as he reached 210 mph

If you've followed these steps from the tutorial and those before and after exactly, then it will all work fine...

The next step is to extrude some edges, so that's what we'll do now.

In the "Edit Mesh" menu select "Edge" as circled in the picture below.

Scroll down the "Edge" menu and click "Select Open Edges" This will select all the open edges on your model.

We don't want to extrude the window apertures or the pillars at this stage so we need to de-select them.

Hold down "Alt" whilst clicking on the edges we want to de-select to de-select them.
