cartleague Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 ATTENTION FELLOW NASCAR HEAT RACERS ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. READ BELOW. This league is sanctioned by the NHIRF Yahoogroup: *the follow up to IRF. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nhirf Sign up there, or at the modsquad, or below to sign up to compete in the first ever Nascar Heat Olympics! It will be a blast! A World Nascar Heat Super Series using the IROC 87 Mod (as a neutral all purpose mod which can be downloaded at themodsquad) on all sorts of tracks to see who (from various leagues or independants) would be the best heat racer. Call it an olympics of Heat--something which was mentioned long ago. Tracks for the series would include (with notes when applicable) Dayton2 (from bhms)-Superspeedway Ace (US Short Track-popular among heat leagues) (look under modsquad) Montreal T (Road Course) Adelaide (Street Course) Swaffham or Wembleton (British dirt or shale oval----with allowed full contact racing) (these two and the one below at the brisca heat website). Ipswitch R (Reverse British paved short right turning oval-with allowed full contact racing) Each car would be a different color based on the league they are representing. Races will occur on Saturdays at 1 PM EDT (to accomidate our British fellas). I have no clue what it would be in Australia (for our Aussie brothers who race Heat). As far as a start date *(most likely in two weeks)---that will be determined soon. NOTES: 1.Car color will be decided upon by league. Side Name board on 87 IROC will be the league name you are representing. 2.We would need no more than 3 representatives from each league (or more for independents----just a thought). SCCA-IORS, the Form. Renault leagues, Aussie Leagues, Banger World Series or those who drive Brisca/National Heat, the other Nascar Heat leagues/and or websites such as Modsquad or texasspeedracing. 3. Points will be awarded and each race will last 25-30 laps. Pole-1 Most Laps Led-1 Gold Medal-10 Pts. Silver Medal-8 Pts. Bronze Medal-6 Pts. Then 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 Pts. On the British ovals, where there are no pits, there will not be any qualifying and full contact racing will occur on those tracks---so keep your tempers cool (IF YOU GET FENCED by a competitor ).
