a few questions

hi guys just a few questions.

 

firstly well done to all involved as its a great mod and im absolutely lovin it.

 

1) are you planning on championships etc because i will pay for jolt if you are and

 

2) is there anywhere i can find laptimes for the short ovals so i know roughly where i stand with regards to how fast i am. cheers in advance. damo.

I'll let an admin answer the first question since i'm not really sure , i think there will be something though , as for the lap times , why don't you join us sunday ,it is on an open server no password needed , some of the faster guys will be more than happy to fix you up with a setup

Yea as paul says join us on sunday. As for laptimes there are some below. These are not lap records but ballpark figures

 

Ipswich Tar 15.1

Ipswich Dirt 15.8

Sexberiun 14.2

Birmingham 13.8

 

As, for the new tracks I am not sure yet however in the test the other night high 12s were seen at KR3W tarmac where this sundays meeting is

There's a plugin for rFactor called rFactor Hotlaps. From what I understand, it records the top 100 laptimes for each mod and track, and writes it as a webpage. Maybe we could have this installed on the server?

Sounds like a good idea ... is it the top 100 laps or the top 100 people's hot laps ... If it is the first I have no chance of being on it ... if it is the second perhaps I can be :-)

Not sure, but I would think it will be the top 100 laps.

At least it would give people an idea of the pace for each track, but then again, there's no point in having the fastest lap in the World Final if you get caught up with a back marker and the second guy punts you into the fence for the win, lol.

I think having some idea about what a 'good' lap time is can be vital is being confident enough to race online ... I know that the first few meetings that I participated in I was terrified of making a complete fool of myself. Now I feel that I am still off of the pace , but the last beta test I started from the front of the grid as a white top instead of the back as a novice and felt confident to do that ... This was due to learning the tracks, getting help on car setup and also know what a realistic pace can be.

thanks for the replys guys. ive got a little problem tho, hopefully something silly will fix it. when i enter the ukdirt public server in the chat box it says,

 

' Damien Gaunt collision mismatch will be kicked from the race'

Did you have the leaked version of the mod installed. If you did delete everything and then install again.

 

Are you using your own .veh. If so and it is not on the server you will get a mismatch.

 

Are you using one of the skis deom rFactor central. Again if you are they are not installed on the server

ive got the preoper version of the mod but i have installed my own skin for offline so id assume that must be it then. cheers, damo.
