If you look on ebay someones selling the old ' push button' type starter solenoid, its seperate to the starting motor, and they make great starter switches. dangerous damo Posted October 10, 2007 Report Share Posted October 10, 2007 got a k serise metro f**kin fing is injection aswell would leave it on the key but the barrels in bits if its single point its easy. run an electric pump with a full return and the standard injection. and to solve the ignition problem cut the wires off the back of the barrel, bare them back then touch each one in turn on the car body. the one that sparks is the main live, then touch the others one by one on that one and the one that turns it over is the starter. then try twisting the others with the battery and touching the starter on them. when it starts thats the right combination. then put it all on switches. simple. easier still is load it on a trailer and find the nearest scrapyard then get a carb astra/cavalier lol.
