calum Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 "Where to put wheels"... On the car just a thought
Daz815 Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 No, i do know that . I mean which folder can i put wheel into so that i can change the wheel_base on my drivers text to the ones i have downloaded or got off someone... Which Folder!? Dazza#815
Nemesis239 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Hi, Go to your Nascar heat folder ... then ukdirt bangers folder ... then which ever set of cars the one you want to change the wheels on is in, there will be unlimited under 2litres etc .... go into the folder of your choice find the drivers text notepad then find the car you wish to change the wheels on, if the text looks like this .. table Driver number 239 name Nemesis239 chassis mk3cedric rank 1 race_image 100 body_style ccar end you need to add the wheel_basename part into the text so it looks like .... table Driver number 239 name Nemesis239 chassis mk3cedric rank 1 race_image 100 body_style ccar wheel_basename 300cwheel end here ive got 300cwheel just erase the wheel thats there if any there at all then add the wheel you want. Hope this is clear enough Cheers Steve
Daz815 Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 yep, ive done that already, but i was wanting to know where about the actual wheel files go. I have changed/used all the wheels off nick morses site but on some cars are wheels i have never seen before and when i look at the driver text, there is no wheel_base lol. uyou see what i mean. I am looking for some different wheels like the cavalier one, or the escort one which i have seen on the forum pictures of cars that have been raced in the banger league with these wheels on so obviously some one know how to put lots and many more different wheel on the cars. I know how to do it, its just where do they go because they have to load from somewhere :S Dazza#815
mcrew Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 The other wheels you want are not an official update for UK Dirt, if you attempt to use them in drivers texts, and other drivers dont have them installed, you will end up crashing their games! If you put a search in for the new wheel files, Im sure you will find the right post, but make sure you back up your game before hand, just incase it messes your game files up.

pazza Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) Hi mate There is no folder for the wheels. The wheels are packed into the part.res file in the ukdirtbangers folder. Here is my latest part.res file with some new wheels I've added. btw, wheels for rendering can be downloaded here To get your own wheel in the game, you can follow the tutorial here (although its quite a lot of hassle) The part res file has the following wheels: (In square brackets is the code for the wheel_basename line of the drivers txt entry. Bold lines are wheels which I have added into Cal's part.res) 5 spoke [5spoke] Volvo 240 [240rim] 300c [300cwheel] Black Carlton 5 spoke (used on Mk2's) [bcarlton] Bluebird steel [bluebird] Black & silver nissan/datsun wheel [bnissan] Black Multispoke carlton [bvaux] 4 spoke ford ronal [cap1] Capri ghia [capri] Capri/cortina steel [capwheel] Carlton 5 spoke (used on Mk2's) [carlton] 5 spoke Chevy wheel [chevy] Chrome wolfrace [chrome] Datsun 4 spoke [cosmicgt] Chrome Weller [cweller] Datsun 4 spoke [datsun] Dolomite sprint [dolly] DS420 [dsrim] Ford escort Mk4 star [escort] Escort Mk1 steel [escortis] Cortina ghia (ford sport) [fdsport] Ford steel wheel from 80s [ford80s] Ford alloy [fordalloy] Mk1 Granada ronal 5 spoke [granI] Mk1 Granada steel [granis] Jag [jag1] Jag [jag2] Jag green [jag2green] Jag XJ40 5 spoke [jag3] Jag steel black [jagblack] Jag steel green [jaggreen] Steel white lada wheel [ladaw] Minilite [minilite] Mk2 Granada ghia [mk2 alloy] Mk2 Granada steel [Mk2black] Mk2 Granada steel green [Mk2green] Mk2 Granada steel red [mk2red] Mk3 Granada Scorpio 6 spoke [mk3alloy] Mk1 Granada ghia [mkI] Chavvy wheel [pimp] Chavvy wheel [pimp1] Revolution 4 spoke black [revblack] Revolution 4 spoke blue [revblue] Revolution 4 spoke green [revgreen] Revolution 4 spoke red [revred] Rostyle black [rosblack] Rostyle blue [rosblue] Rostyle green [rosgreen] Rostyle red [rosred] RS2000 4 spoke [rs2000] RS cosworth [rs] RS escort [rsescort] Ford 7 spoke RS [scorpio] Granada Scorpio Cosworth [scorpio1] Rolls Royce [silversw] Triumph Stag/2000 [stag] Mk3 Cortina Steel [standardMk3] Steel [steel] Mk4/5 Cortina Ghia [tina] Triumph 2000 steel [triumph] Vauxhall Carlton GSI 5 spoke (used by Matt Fuller on his Mk2) [vauxGSI] Vauxhall Carlton Multispoke [vauxhall] White Weller [wWeller] Edited October 2, 2007 by pazza
