calum Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 isit bent or snapped cause the old sierra ones if the snap was not on the thread we use to weld them up.. or straighten them up in a scaffold bar lol.
xTx Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Nasty bent, snapped and burgered; [attachmentid=23266]
Budge313 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Weld it up... use a utp 65 rod... it'll be fine if the joints knackered sorry for suggesting welding it up
Jay404 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 if i was u and being tight like i am, weld a small piece of angle on the bolt along the arm say 2". It will hold mega and be strong, dont worry too much about shape as u can track it up on the other side! Done plenty on my bangers so far! Also, by the looks of it if you no anyone with a bluebird try fitting a fine thread one? looks similar to me?
xTx Posted February 28, 2008 Author Report Posted February 28, 2008 Cheers for all advise Its gonna get welded as per your suggestions. Thanks again xTx
xTx Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 Dropped the track rod off at the firm who maintain the truck fleet i manage. They all moaned to buggery; "not safe, it'll break, not worth it, can't be done, blah blah blah". So i smiled sweetly and said "Please!" and they did this; [attachmentid=23502] which is an improvement on this: [attachmentid=23503] Cheers Ian!
