PSP

Anyone got a PSP? I was thinking of getting one soon and was wondering if to get the original type for £85 or the new slim type for £130. Apart from the price, whats the difference?

 

I was thinking of getting Fifa 08 and call of duty 4 as my first game and possibly a racing game. Any ideas?

 

Ive also heard you can do something to the firmware so you can download games direct to the memory card but I dont want to go there yet. Sounds a bit risky and complicated for an old dodder like me.

i have the normal psp i think and its very good.

for a racing game i recommend burnout or superbikes i found good.

I got mine from BigW (woolworths) got a game with it aswell.

 

Fifa08 - good game, hard to start with but get easire when u get use the controls, i also have a few more games aswell

 

got a case and memony card from currys aswell

 

i have the slim/light psp

 

price - all mine together cost me about £160

I have the normal PSP. I bought mine in America and it cost about £150, this included a memory card, game and case. The only drawback about getting one from the States is that you can only play films on it bought from the States or you have to download them directly onto the memory stick, but this doesn't apply with the games.

The last time I looked at games I thought the selection was very limited compared to the number of games there are for other platforms, but then again it might just be my taste. My favourite games are probably MotoGP, Nascar and Toca 2, I also have F1 Grand Prix and NFS Underground 5:10, which IMO are awful! However the selection of films (From the US at least) goes on and on, and the picture you get on the PSP screen for viewing them is of a very high standard. I would say it's defaintely worth it as you can use them as MP3 players and internet browsers too.

i got an STD for around 50 quid from the House of ill repute.. didn't have any protective cover with it, was a bit tatty and smelt like fish. the game i got with it was similar to dunking for apples at Halloween but under a different name "dip if you dare" it was called.. last time i take shopping advice from prydie......

got mine, a giga pack, 2nd hand on ebay, upgraded to 4gb, £120 all in including speaker device and satalite plug in which i sold on for £20. It's basically a hand held replacement for the PS2, so quite good, i'm enjoying Flatout Head On atm.
