BRADFORD SHALE - THURSDAY 19TH MAY - 7:30PM

After a couple of weeks chasing those vital world championship qualifying points, its time for a break from them, and a move back onto the shale of Bradford.

Bradford produced a cracking meeting early on in the season, and I would expect the same to ahppen again, with LeeK #39 no doubt looking to take his forth final win of the season, and his second at the West Yorkshire track.

One points championship that has not be mentioned thus far is the whites and yellows championship. We are now onto round 4 of the series, with all points scored in the meeting counting towards the points charts. Marky #18 currently leads the championship, but with him, and second place Jimmy #259 cureently at the blue grade, their is a oppotunity for the next three in the list, Johno #3, Vegas #202 and Marten #291 to try and catch up. A full list can be found on Kev's site by clicking here.

9 cars are currently booked in, with four of these being whites or yellows, and whilst these drivers may not be challenging for the gold, it still could be a classic points championship.

I would expect the bookings to rise closer to the 20 mark, as last weeks attendance was very good, with a few missing, so make sure you get yourself booked in.

RULE CHANGE

After noticing that the pole man of each grade appears to win majority of the races, especially the last four finals, the F1 Admin Team have decided to change the rules slightly when it comes to gridding the final.

The Grand Final will now be gridded grades within grades according to the average points chart for each surface. This will mean that the driver with the highest average in their grade, will start at the back of the grade. This is effectively what we did last year in F1, and we believe that it will be a success in rfactor.

The points chart used, as stated above, will be the average surface points charts, which can be found on Kev's site by clicking on the links to the right. (Shale and Tarmac)

Whilst these tables are updated regularly, in the event that they are not 100% up to date, I will calculate it and attach the spreadsheet to the MI so you can check your position, and to if I have gridded you correctly.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you win a race, then you start at the back of your grade for every other race except the final (eg if you win heat 1, you start at the back of your grade for the second heat and the grand national. The final is the only race where you may not start at the back of your grade).

If there are any problems, or I have not explained this very well, then please post here, and I will reply to your query tomorrow, or perhaps a member of the admin team will spot it and hopefully clear up any query you may have.

So, with that exciting change, we will see who will take the final at Bradford this week, and if it is in fact the guy that starts on pole of their grade, plus, we will be keeping our eyes on those lower grade drivers as they battle for their whites and yellows points.

Cheers

Johno
