Robwoollhouse Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 maybe some of your more `southern` guys could answer this, will be trecking down the 4 hour journey for firecracker at arena the first wkend in nov, gonna be a good birthday treat, any ideas other than bagers what formulas are on that day? looked on the site, they do often have many diff formulas but werent sure about that day alone any ideas? cheers
Knobby Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Firecracker isn't Bangers its just Welded american yank tanks going round finding the first person to injure or the first hit that can give them the Wasted front page. Theres no other Formula's on either, just the above!
Budge313 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Make it a day earlier and go to ipswich gala night, i heard that most are doing that 1 instead of firecracker this year
Knobby Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Gala night was appalling last year I thought, but everyone thought it was rated?! Just seeing 70 odd Unlimited Rods pulling off some lap times the Hot Rods would be proud off!
Budge313 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 can't stand ippy tbh.. and live 4 miles away, didn't even bother with the F1 world, but with the trouble at arena this year... i was just saying what i heard m8
Knobby Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Thats gonna be poop aswell! Might even trek to Standlake for the Bonfire meeting!
Ryano Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I might be doing both Ippy and WeldALotAndThenKillSomePoorSodOnTheInfieldWithAHugeDooring or possibly Arly Gala Night
calum Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) Ipswich is crap for bangers i live down the road from it, It ain't a track to watch at tbh having not much atmosphere (Yeah and they put the wf there), It's to fast with race built stuff nowadays and you need alot of cars on the track it make it interesting, and the scruitineer is a spanner don't even know what he's looking for tried to fail my rookie cause it looked like a banger.. BUT all the drivers seem friendly.. And with the right drivers it could be good, but fast. It is a lovely track to race on. Arena is a good track to watch at, although it seems to have gone the way of everybody wanting to kill each other instead of getting out and shaking hands.. And theres only 31 cars booked in so far mainly ALL jags.. Edited September 25, 2008 by calum
Jay404 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Im doing gala night this year in a granada, I know what you are all saying about it being crap for bangers, its real fast so not a place you want to be sitting at the end of the straight! But, that kinds of adds to the rush for me, (each to there own) and i think the atmosphere infront of 9 to 10 thousand people looks amazing. With some awesome tin and a few surprise visitors its looking good! my fav meeting at foxhall of the year and only being 10 mins away its ideal! Dont get me wrong tho, if there was a meeting at foxhall and mildenhall i would rather spend more money on diesel and race around mildenhall! Anyway enough of me boring you just thought id add my 10p worth! ta
spike100 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Thats gonna be poop aswell! Might even trek to Standlake for the Bonfire meeting! Steady Knobby dont go hanging around them non ORC tracks! they might bully you into there lets slag everyone else and shout out how good this place is crew!
