stig727 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Im modelling a car, i have been following nickms guide. i have created a .car file but when i go to race it in game the game crashes and i get this... Morris_Problem.zip i think its because i havent done physics... and i dont know how or what program they are done in. any help is always greatly appreciated.
Haadee#525 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 yup u need a physics.val that is created in notepad as .txt then convert to val - with MKVAL works the same as mktex
stig727 Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Posted October 27, 2008 Thanks Haadee, any one know what i need to put in, maybe a template of some sorts

stig727 Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Posted October 27, 2008 Thanks for that, i didnt know there was so much i could change
stig727 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Report Posted October 29, 2008 i have another problem. i went to crack a car file using winres to see what else i need to put in a car file. when i do that, i get mpeg files instead of .mod,I dont know whats gone wrong. any help?
stig727 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 Sorry for triple post. but i realised what i did wrong. can any one post up mkval or a link to where i can get it please. ive tried saving the text file as .val but no luck.
pazza Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 (edited) mkval is here: http://www.racelinecentral.com/tools.html#...0Heat%20Physics (on the right hand side) also should have said that the line saying 'model' should have the name of the default wheel you want to use (which can be packed into the car file) Edited November 6, 2008 by pazza
stig727 Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Thanks for the link, still stuck though. i put the physics text file into the mkval folder and run mkval and nothing happens. im still left with the files seen below in the mkval folder...? what do i do? ive added some black carlton wheels for now, i assume i just use the jpeg files i use for renders and change where it says model to the file name?
wee dode Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 open a ms dos window and type mkval physics.txt physics.val and it should work
