Walker363 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Yeah the muzzy mob can't prepare a car to save there life
stig727 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 should of seen a honda civic they took in the banger rods, still had the dashboard (fair enough leave it in a big car but not a civic) this is barford not many can prep cars properly, tall paul had a door bar which i think was to short, got doored by daryl wall and broke the top bone in his leg.
Lee Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 mate i think ure better off leaving it in a honda civic than lets say a jag. unlimited motors will go in much harder, much more weight behind them in the hit. etc etc.
stig727 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 i still wouldnt like to be stuck in a civic because the dash had been left in, theyre a small car to be trapped in to start with.
Magic208 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Dashs in cars are no shock, Arenas 1st rooking meet, 1 car had dash and working radio in it!
skitzo Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 lets face it , its your own personel safety break your legs its your own stupid fault
stig727 Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 ive made a start on the car, and im not sure exactly how may polys to put on the back corner of the wing and bootlid. if i join the verts that i have in the pic below it isnt very smooth or round. ive put a box round the bit im stuck with if any modeler could help please do.
stig727 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Report Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) ***update*** got the top of the bootlid done so far. was wandering if i was using enought verts? Edited January 3, 2009 by stig727
The London Allstar Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Depends are you modelling it for heat or rfactor or btrg? If its for heat, then you might have already used too many, definatly if you have continued from the picture in post #9
stig727 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Report Posted January 3, 2009 it was for heat but if it turns out to high i might send it to tads n see what he thinks. i havent started on the corner yet its just the top of the boot. so i should delete some verts from the back corner.
The London Allstar Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 You need to decide which game you are going to model for, something that is say 1000 poly's over the heat limit will not look very good in rfactor as you can use 40,000+ poly's. For heat, i would suggest this... Dont worry about it looking too square, you can always move the vertz around at a later date and use the smoothing tool to get a better end result.
stig727 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 ok thanks for the help. will correct that bit later when i do some more work on it.
Haadee#525 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 not to many if u do proper lods , u can do 1500 polys no problem
stig727 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 ok, theres about 25 polys at the moment.
Haadee#525 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 no problem at all - i did say 1500 can do, of course always better to keep it as low poly as possible but still having the good shape
