My lap top has stopped playing cd's overnite so i thought the drive was naffed but as soon as i put a dvd in the same draw it plas straight away so it must be reading the disc an ideas ? I havent changed anything and when i look in e drive is says theres no disc inserted but the dvd say theres a dvd in it ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I contacted Dell (makers of my laptop) and they sent through a list of instructions which deleted something in regedit then re-installed some codec's.
