nath189 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Using a skin You should now have skin, whether you painted it yourself, or had someone do it for you. To use it in game you will need to add an entry for it in DRIVERS.TXT. This file exists in a few places in the NASCAR Heat directories, so make sure you are opening the one in the correct directory. In this file you will see a series of tables. After the last one, add the following: table Driver number XXX name Your Name chassis YYY rank 1 race_image 100 body_style ccar end Where XXX is you race number, and YYY is the model name of the chassis. (see below for chassis model names, check the screenshot-section if you want to see the chassis). Save the file and you will now see your name come up in the driver selection screen in the game. You do not need to add any more entries for other players. People will be able to see everyone elses cars by installing the skin packs. hope this helps
