conearranger Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Rumour has it the the BBC has commissioned a 6 part documentary charting the fortunes of Andy Smith and Franki Wainman in their quest to reach this years world final. Once completed it should be aired in the run up to christmas or early 2010.
F2-Fan Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 That is correct they have already started filiming, they were at the last Coventry and are going to be following them throughout the season.
nath189 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 does anyone know when it is going to be on cuz ive looked on the bbc and can't find anything about it cheers nath
Ryano Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Transmission is TBC but it'll be a 6 part series each episode at 30 minutes. Think it'll get further on the TV than ITV's attempt at filming Battle of Britain, which we've been waiting for, for about 6 months!
headbanger193 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I remember when the BriSCA F1's were shown on a saturday afternoon on a sport programme called World of Sport hosted by Dickie Davis on ITV, it also had the british wrestling on it with the likes of BIG DADDY and GIANT HAYSTACKS. The glory era of the early eighties sport on tv.
Guest MrBeef85 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Showing your age lol I can remember watching F1's on World of Sport in the 70's and early 80's. To add a few more wrestlers Mick McMannus, Les Kellet, Joe Royal, Masambulla, Pat Roach and the comentator Kent Walton proper wrestling in those days.
kendo912 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Only 1 wrestler from that era needs mentionning.....Kendo
