splinter Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Having seen the TV adverts for Monster Jam at MEN and NEC, anyone else wondering what this event will be like? If its anything like the US events, it will be amazing. But I'm sceptical it will be a huge anti-climax. I've searced the WWW, and there's hardly anything mentioned anywhere other than the MEN/NEC promotions. Neither the UK monstertruck scene nor the US scene mention the event! Or even the website of the three trucks which are confirmed bookings. That's another thing..."Superstar trucks including Grave Digger, Monster Mutt and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle have already been confirmed for the show" ...is that it then?!?!? just three trucks so far. I'm half wanting to go, but I'll feel really dumb if I've paid all my cash for my family and its crap, which at this moment in time I think is possible. (Why can't we have F1 & F2 stock cars at theses places instead and promote them on the telly!!) Anyone else thinking of going to this as a bit of a change to Oval racing?
AlecTPR Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 I live on the north side of Manchester (only a metrolink trip away) so I might have a ride out and take my son. I'm trying to go to all the Belle Vue Meets frmo now on. Got the bug again but it's an expensive do. If anybody finds out costs, times etc, please post.
FireStorm Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 mum and dad picked up on this and as i've seen them out in the states. They thought we would go so i'm due to go on the sat night 3rd weekend in aug. I'll take some pics / video footage and upload / let ya know. After seeing it in the states and on tv I'm not expecting it to be as good but I'm allways to give things a try and seems i'm not paying for it i'll go and see what happens.
