As you can see the UK Open WAS won on lap 1 - Any guesses who won it??

Either the cars are too big for Skegness or the track is not wide enough for the cars - either way the British is going to be __________________ (Enter own word here!!)

same as last year 1 big pile up maybe if they ran the race how the real championship is run it would make for a better race

but johno seems to think all championships should be closed grids maybe they like to make sure all the top boys win the championships lol

Not at all - this championship has been won at times by yellow tops (yourself included) so it can't be that. That takes into account both heat and Rfactor, where it was won by yellow grade Mike in 2008.

In real life they changed on the grounds of safety I was led to believe. It was changed in real life 3 years ago, and we just never changed it. But you are quite right, I do believe that all championships should be closed grid, otherwise the UK Open has no significant difference to a normal final. In fact, our format for the whole double header does not mirror real life as it currently stands.

The other thing is, it has only been mentioned this year. No one mentioned it last year, or the year before. If a significant amount of people want it changed, then as always we will listen and put it on the agenda at the end of the year.

Cheers

Johno
