Kevin
When the 2010 fixtures were released, no mention was made of any World Championship Qualifying rounds for the 2011 World Championship. We try to follow real life as much as is practically possible and so the concept of having WCQ rounds in one season relating to the following season's World Championship was introduced in 2008. This had an adverse effect on the WC Semi Final grids with drivers having scored points in 2008 but not racing their Semi Final in 2009. Nevertheless, we continued with this concept in 2009 with four WCQ rounds counting towards the 2010 World Championship. But this season we wanted to see how this would affect the Semi Final grids before deciding whether or not to continue running end of season WCQ rounds. Three drivers scored WCQ points at the end of 2009 but failed to race their Semi Final having qualified for one. The F1 admin team thought that this was not too bad, and was certainly better than the previous season, and so would continue to have WCQ rounds at the end of this season counting towards the 2011 World Championship. However, we have decided to reduce the number of rounds from four to just two. These will be at: Kings Lynn on 21st October Arena Essex on 11th November I will get the fixture list changed as soon as possible.
