Stumpy Posted June 2, 2015 Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 Congratulations Ben and Josh winning Nationals and Scottish titles.Unlucky to Bully thought he was gonna win the Scottish until he was held up by a back marker for too many laps allowing Josh to catch up then moving over as soon as Josh got to him.Not Josh's fault but the back marker ruined the race.Please to all racers if you have been caught by leaders get out of the way,we use a good manners system we trust drivers to get out of the way especially in Title races i'm not happy with how this race was decided.No need to name and shame because it is a whole of the field can improve in this area please think about this because it could be you next time leading a big race and a back marker ruins it for you. To be fair I could say the same when I got the World Final taken from me by a backmarker just so someone else could catch me, not mentioning names but it was the same principal there.. In this case, I was in Teamspeak, and the other driver was in Teamspeak, instead of him holding me up, I asked if I could go up his inside the next bend and he moved wide for me, no point in holding me up to cause something that's not needed, where as Bully IMO wasn't at the pace to move him out of the way and kept making mistakes everytime he got on the drivers bumper, I respect Bully for what he does, he doesn't get in anybodies way deliberately and has racecraft. I'll hold my hands up and say that race was his, but I caught him from around 7 tenths in 2 laps when there was no cars in either of our way, I'd had a bad night already, but winning the consi and then having the chance to win the final, I put my foot down and showed how consistent I am.. MartynR Posted June 2, 2015 Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 Thanks for the meeting last night guys. Can't say I'm a big fan of Cowdenbeath though. Just couldn't get to grips with it! Was happy to have scraped into the Final, although on my performance, not sure I should have really. I have been in similar situations to Bully before, not for a championship, but trying to lap someone that you either can't shift and get past, or having them sat right on your rear bumper lap after lap does get frustrating. I tried to keep out of everyone's way last night, although I apologies for anyone I might have slowed, even if it was just one bend!
