Dazza290 Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 First of all would like to say thanks to Cunny for all his help so far However im trying to burn my own banger movies and make them into DVD's, but for some reason, after the 2 hours it takes to burn one, its says it has failed, plus nothing has actually written on the disc? Any ideas on what it could be, or any of you know how to use Nero inside out?? Cheers in advance Dazza
Budge313 Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 Have you tried DVD santa m8... found that worked better than nero for me for burning dvd's from pc.... can be d/l if you look in right places

Knobby Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 i THINK you have to burn an image to the hard drive first or something.
chris Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) to burn using nero i use dvd video, first i use my dvd recorder to finalise a disk then copy the video_ts folder to hard drive in a new folder then open nero clik on file new then dvd video then in nero i goto were i copied the video_ts folder then open the video_ts folder then drag all the files that are listed ie video_ts.bup,ifo.vob then highlight all the files again and clik burn, to make the dvd u must have a video ts folder so the files can be copied pinnacle studio can convert avi files to vts.vob files which are dvd video files all of this is probably useless to other peeps but i am having to do my banger dvd this way because my video camcorder is cassete,i have to put all the clips i want onto a dvd disk using me dvd recoreder then finalising it then copying contents to hd then burning back using nero sry if this don't make sense tis hard to explain Edited August 31, 2005 by chris
Dazza290 Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 No problem lads, ive found the problem, its my faulty DVD writer. It will burn Cd's fine, it will burn data onto DVD's fine, but just wont burn a video onto a disc. I tried all the files etc on my mum's laptop and it burnt no probs at all prompting me to either 1) buy a new DVD writer or 2)a new laptop Would like it to be the second option Cheers for the help folks Dazza
