Weird pc problem

My pc kept shutting down without any warning within a minute or two of it starting up.

I thought it was overheating but the cpu temperature is fine and all fans are working.

My next thing to fiddle with, was the power supply unit so I unscrewed it from the case and left it hanging out of the pc and now the pc works fine!

But if I screw the psu back into the case, the pc starts shutting down again??!!

Does anyone have any idea why the pc works fine with the psu out of the case?!

Cheers
