  1. Just seen WW got a second place in his first ever F1 race at Belle Vue tonight (from stoxnet / Paul Harrison's site)!  appl.gif  Well done mate!!!

No other results for him by the look of it through the night - Also 515 conspicuous by his absence from the results in the final... I seem to recall a number of us (in chat last thursday) offering ww a large amount of money for taking Wainman out...  unsure.gif Do we need to pay up? If so  party37.gif   thumbup.gif  and remind me to keep my thoughts to myself in future!

  2. Just installed a new graphics card (Radeon 9600 - not the quickest or best, I know, but a huge improvement on my on-board graphics...). It's been years since I've bought any games, so I need some recommendations... Just seen Toca Race Driver for £5.95 - worth it? Been playing Flat Out demo too... seems like a laugh, but not sure if the whole game would keep my attention for long...

Any recommendations of games I might have missed over the past couple of years welcome! 2.gif

  3. I saw this was on... Looks like good stuff.

Don't forget, if you have money to burn, then Nascar starts on NASN - live at 1am Sunday morning. Here we go again... when I'm not stood in a puddle and getting covered in shale, I'll be taking my place in the armchair grandstand! blink.gif

  4. You've more or less said what I said to them in the email, Corny. The fact that every year the oval racing / rallycross / grass roots bit of the show is consistantly visited by more people than the F1 display (FIA F1 rather than the real F1 rolleyes.gif ) is never reflected in the media. Even Motorsport News seem to have dropped a lot of it's coverage this year. On the Motors TV programme there was around 30 seconds of some WRC and some pickups from the Live Action Arena...

As usual, I got on my high horse about BriSCA not being covered and suggested that Motors might like to approach them about covering some proper racing. Within 10 minutes, I had the reply which I've posted which suggests that Motors TV have already been in contact with BriSCA. Should be interesting if they do give it some coverage - it would be nice to see it covered as a sport and not just a novelty act for once...

  5. They were asking for some feedback about the Autosport Show programme which they have shown... so I dropped them a line (whinging about the lack of stuff from the oval racing / grass roots part of the show) - didn't expect to here anything back, but...

    Dear Chris,

Thanks for this, it's always great to get direct feedback from our viewers.

I fully understand (and admit) that you would have love to see more and will make sure that we take care of the "roots" next year.

I've also made contact with the Brisca F1 people, and will hopefully be able to show some later this year.

    Best Regards

  6. Keep at it Drag.

I get the impression you are mainly building this mod for us UK & Dutch guys on UK Dirt to have fun with, rather than to produce something for the "experts" over in NZ to use?

That'll do for me, fella.  thumbup.gif

Same feelings here Dragon. It's amazing that the NZ guys haven't come up with the goods after such a long time... banghead2.gif We've seen fairly recently that they can't work to deadlines (the proposed NZ v UK/NL Team Races), and I doubt we'll ever see the release of NZ Stockcar Heat. What's more amazing is the dedication which you put into UK Dirt - I don't know where you find the time... 2 to 3 weeks? Can't wait, but at least I won't have to wait long thumbup.gif
