  1. I must admit i am going to agree with Nightowl on them New 2ltr Stock cars, i only saw them on sunday, and after seeing 40 odd 'proper' Saloons racing at Mildenhall the night before foe their national championship i wasnt expecting too much from the low 20 on the grid at Ipswich, but boy was i wrong! I personally thought they were great entertainment even with the low numbers! What would they be like with a grid of high 30's? From the reaction of most people i spoke to on sunday, will it be long until we are seeing big grids??? Anyways, just my view, heres for hoping they take off!
  2. Great track for action as already stated, probably the best fish and chips around!! With support from under 2ltr banger teams with over 20 teams i should imagine, should be a cracker of a meeting......unless it rains..........
  3. I understand what your saying eric about the front of the roof coming in....but.... When u build a banger u put the cage directly behind the drivers seat so the driver is protecte from that, it would take alot to get the front of the roof down as the front pillars hold it up well, and when seat belted together are very strong. Also at most tracks im sure you will find only a bit of sheet metal is allowed to be bolted on a car with a sunroof. Cheers again
  4. Like was mentioned above by Mitch, there are some galleries of Surrey Street Squad and the Suicide Squad so i would imagine they have pics from the firecrackers! Blockbusters however i dont reckon as most of his 'old' pics are from 80's and very early 90's,anything after that are taken by him at meetinhs he goes to and will be in the New stock car pics section. Cheers again
  5. lol jack, saw them bolts on that car whilst we were up at cowdie, did u see the cage as well!!!!!! Was better than a Nascars cage! Anyways, Oldstockcarpics is run by a very good friend of mine who puts alot of time into this site, but he know has a new job which takes up most of his spare time, but, he isnt in short supply of photos having just claimed 500,000,so he is sorting these out,but anyone with any 'Oldstockcarpics' that would like to see them on the site, just contact me or him via his email and he wil be more than willing to help!
  6. Gotta agree with what has been said above, especially by gonzo, every other week we are at mildenhall or Dover and every time we turn up Michael Coventry is one of the first to come and have a laugh and a joke with us, like Gonzo says it goes a long way, especially if weve been rushing round the week prior getting a car ready! Another thing i like is the way they keep the drivers informed of any championships coming up etc Baz can race in, never fails to book him in and they keep the website right up to date! No wonder they get 100 odd cars at a domestic!
  7. watched volume 1 last night! Epic!! Some mega hits but the best for me was seeing shane davies getting done by overy and co, only to jump out with a big grin and go to shake overy's hand, only for him to shake his head!! Fair play shane!!! Have ordered volumes 2& 3 today,my advice,if u like bangers, is to buy them today!!!
