  1. Hi Guy's, Need some more advice. Ive downloaded UKDirt secure chat through the UKDirt link. I installed the program and the program highlighted that it was successful (used default dir). I then attempted to run the program and as soon as i clicked on "continue" the icon disappear from programs menu, it also removed the uninstalled downloaded program from its origional folder. Any ideas?

Ps Running windows 7 and initially on first install it informed me that there might be a program issue so I followed links to a windows hotfix however exactly the same thing happened on install prior to the hotfix update.

  2. Hi Leek/web team,

Just tried to access the website to pay subscription (returning after a few years), however for some reason site appears to be down. I wont be in over the next few hours although intend to pay soon. Do you know if this is a temp thing or will I have to go through another route.

    Cheers,

Ps. On reflection I been away from the game for some time so a few extra days wont upset me.

  3. Sorted.

Emailed RFactor & they replied with a walkthrough. I'll post it below incase a forum menber has the same issue.

    1. Uninstall rfactor then DELETE the entire rfactor folder and any rfactor folder in your Documents folder.

    2. In My Computer->Tools->Folder Options view tab, enable "Show hidden files and folders".

    3. Delete the trymedia license folder located in "C:\ProgramData"

    4. Download the rfactor 1255 full installer from the downloads page of rfactor.net

    5. Install rfactor by right-clicking on the installer and select "Run As Administrator..." (even if you have a administrator account)

Thanks for the help Hooty, however for some strange reason I dont get any prompts to put the codes in. I did uninstall then put my activation code in the link to the official site which let me download RFactor again however it just went back to the same trial version with no option to activate. It lets me go online eg chat loby etc but restricts my options in the game although cant see the time limit on the game (hour). I assume that Ive used up one of my 5 entitlements. Any other advice before I contact RFactor?

  5. Hi Guy's, After a break from online racing I'm hoping to return. To help me get started I need some advice. Firstly Ive downloaded RFactor through a link on UK Dirt & used the trial version (aparently the same). The problem is that once I found that my laptop can play the game I paid for the upgrade, however can't seem to find the option to add the voucher code into the game to activate it to the full version. So, can anyone tell me what to do next. After that, are there any link/walkthroughs to get me up and running re - skins, server info & league protocols.

    Cheers,

  6. Since installing the soundcard driver, every now and then when I start a mod up the sound is slightly crackly. If I exit the game and start it up again it's Ok.

Any ideas anyone? Apart from that everything's runing perfect.

Your not alone....I've have the same problem Pete and never been able to resolve it, its like there's a loose wire to the speaker and worse when you give it fully throttle when driving the F1. In the old mod, occassionally the music becomes very jumbled, the good news it that if you re boot the game it usually resolves it.

Sorry I can help but I'd like to know how to fix it.

  7. Having just downloaded th efftwo heat mod again due to a problem I had ,I was wondering has anyone got the f216 and f217 updates and can post them on here? These don't seem to be available on Boddles site.

    Thanks in advance.

Bunker I have them but I have difficulty in posting them, it looks like the forum has limited space and as a result wont allow the file extentions..

Ps. PM me through the forum and send me your email address

  8. I have to side with Scrapman, although I'm not quick I use a Microsoft Force feedback wheel, I turn it right up and you know your racing. The bonus is that their probibly one of the most hardy bits of kit and as a result they take some punishment, they are also easiest to configure and I picked mine up for £20 in a "Loot" type paper so keep your eyes peeled and you might get a bargin.

  9. In your options config file, change "try_texture_compression yes" to "try_texture_compression no" and save it.  thumbs_up.gif

  10. BH 2005 works fine for me however when I try to race at Arena or Swaffham (on or offline) the game crashes. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the track plus my setups at these tracks but it makes no difference. I'm also still running the origional BH and it gives me no problems and its the same for all my other mods. Anyone any suggestions.

  11. rofl.gif Reminds me of the Sparky designs F1 of a while back!!!

Hope you dont mind Sparky, but I also took the liberty of taking my pen and paper out and with the help of Les, a renowned and well respected scrap-merchant and part time proerty tycoon wink.gif ,designed our own track

On first viewing, the layout doesnt differ all that much from Cowdie as in our opinion the general layout of the land as such wont differ that much as the dimensions of the track is the all important issue

"Our" tracks dimensions are the exact same as Skeggy which is about oh, that much by that much with a wall to the same spec as Racewall.

As you can see we have incorporated various ammenities for the fare paying public, thus allowing them to indulge in various activities when the lesser liked formulas are on as a pose of currently goin to the toilet or away for a pie. 2.gif

I've applied for copywright to this design ,because as you all may be well aware that the development world is a cut throat business and we wouldnt want any of the big guns muscling in and stealing the limelight and takin all the acolades when the project takes off!!

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for viewing our proposed plans and if anyone has any ideas of any improvements we can make that would perhaps make the development more appealling to other sports fans (An indoor carpet bowling arena??) then please feel free to add your suggestion

Andy, Your design on a track may look good but I think Les has tried to lead you astray and there might be some copyrite issues here...........

If you remove the text and replace it with the origional text it looks very much like the new Elite F2 Design for 2005........lol
