  1. On a serious note, i think some of the rules are fine, but as i've said before, when you go in for a hit, sometimes you have to fence someone or they will just come back you next corner so you spend the whole race tippy tapping each other and your race gets wasted. Common sense has to be used when it comes to a hit for position. I give people 1 chance, i put them wide and if they put me wide next corner, i put them in.

Would that include putting Drum or Tom In??? I doubt it.

Its that kind of statement that makes up my mind about not racing.

What gives YOU the right to "Put them in"? Maybe they just want to race you back.

As long as they don't use excessive force to fence you in return, then surely thats the makings of a "Race" between the two of you.

Or do you think that as you have passed the car in front that it has no right to hit you back, as it would be holding you up from progressing to the front??

Everybody should give everybody every chance - that way respect will be earned and the racing will be "Racing" not revenge or vindictiveness or OTT.

I must admit, I had to laugh at these new rules but it is whats needed to bring UKDirt F2's back into line. And thats sad to see. I commend the Admins for going this far to try and make it "enjoyable" for the masses once again.

My ideal races in F2, especially on shale, have been side by side racing going into the bends (Kings Lynn and Coventry especially). There is no need for bumpers, just edge up the inside and away you go.

Some of the best races to watch are drivers going wheel to wheel over several laps, but there are some who think the best races are those that have plenty of contact of which only one car comes out of it.

Bumpers are there if required, to move an opponent wide for passing to take place, not for the destruction of one car on the receiving end.

Hope it works for you Admin

I dont race uk dirt ones or tooz but i have to agree with what allan has put name any driver who would tip tappy about mav. If for instance a ss catches a yellow top hits him wide to then get hit wide next corner what do you think will happen next!!! I grew up watching dave samson rob speak pete gilbert people who used the bumper and hard if it was needed people need to realise when they get put in usually for a reason! im only commenting on what allan has put nothing else before people scream n shout!!

  2. If thats a moan then im sorry but rfactor isnt for you. It's a sim at the end of the day, not a "plug n play" type game where you can turn it on and be straight on the pace.

Nice work lads. will give them a full try soon for you.

Coming from the lad who in bangers last week said im not racing rf f1 or f2.... maybe it isnt for you either parky

Hehe hit a nerve did i oldie? lol.

Will be doing them when bothered. F1's occasionally, nothing replicates the racing just like them mind you.

    Not at all my friend...

  4. One or two people who weren't there seem to be biting on this thread, maybe they should have raced instead as driving standards were good in a realistic contact kind of way. :king:

Cmon al hutch is always right so there was to much bumper.. opps sorry i dont race...

From the halfwit that thinks heat is the way forward

Funny it would be a diff story if someone drove like a rasta in your precious heat, you'd be the first one to spit the dummy :king:

 you have made my day.. My precious heat you are joking me aint you.. If im a halfwit i dread to think what you are :042:

  5. Great work RMing Johno and Server Managing Dan.

Had a great night myself, every race was tough, not too much carnage really, just lots of gaggles of car desperately trying to make breaks on each other.

Well done Kruiz on the final win, came under a lot of pressure from Hutch especially in the closing laps but kept your cool. I was personally hoping Hutch would plant a big one on you, but he raced the sensible race knowing he was a little too far back for a 'safe' hit. It was a superbly close finish between the three of us anyway (deserves a screenshot I think!) and a cracking start to what is sure to be an excellent season.

I've always suffered quite bad from 'shaky hands' when racing on my gamepad in heat, when in a good position, so it was to be expected to carry on over to rF. Except its twice as bad on a wheel now. In the final, everytime i raised my foot from the brake pedal it was trembling away too! Lol! Go on, say 'its' just a game Craig'.....

Another race to mention for me was the cracking battle I had with Beef in the GN, top stuff!

    Excellent night anyway!

Excellent picture that mor.. Looked a great start for rfactor season gd stuff..

  6. You try Splashing cash on a engine to match the likes of websters, Im a budget racer, I bank @ The bank of scotland although i dont bloody own it :coffee:

Didnt take long to get off the mark though final win at taunton today...

  9. No I can hit people without spinning, so can others, and we do it well, but you can't hit everything at any time becuase you feel like it. You have to be patient, get the right amount of contact when the weight distribution is in correct place around the axis, its a skill.

Why is it that an "expert" can take something you already know and make it sound confusing?

Take a word of advice, you are setting yourself up for a big fall with some of your comments, such as "I can hit without spinning, " and we do it well"!! you'll be saying next I race so realistically that I run out of fuel in a race..

The leagues havent even started and you are making it sound as if the drivers that have taken part in RF thus far are all you expect to race in the league, surely not?

I guess if you take a straw pole of the real Stock car racers that have raced RF thus far they will want, and expect to have, far more competition than they are currently experiencing now, for now this is the practice period, a taster, a prelude, that is all, nothing more.

Wait until the real racing starts, then we will see just who are the experts, please keep the comments coming, I have a full hard drive to save them onto. ;)

Its all getting a bit tiresome tbh, I certainly hope more people do race, I've never once said nobody else can, I'm all for the promotion of rFactor, but some seem stuck in your ways unwilling to try anything different, which is fine, but I don't see why you keep going on about heat is better. I don't see anyone on the heat forum saying rFactor is better

I'm not sure exactly what I'm saying that is setting me up for a big fall although I'm sure you can point that out for me, and it will only be you, Parky etc who provide it anyway, in which case its already been going on for 3 months. It seems the only reason you are posting is to have a go at me so I'm posting no more on the matter after this, it seems pointless on a thread about whether or not drivers a lap up should be passed or maybe you just enjoy picking on folk less than half your age? Sad really..

Oh, and last week I did run out of fuel on the last lap, ask DanSkin. ;)

    Cheers

    Kruiz

I fail to see how i get brought into this conversation.. I couldnt give two hoots if you race rfactor and im sure as hell not coming into it so leave me out of it.. I just said what i would do in the situation of lap downs or whatever which people are allowed to do..

  10. Aye, perfectly reasonable thread with a valid point and people who don't even race rFactor seem to think they know best.

You don't like it fine, you've made your point, why even read this thread then? To stir it up as usual.

Typical answer from you problem is the forum is a small place and you spout rubbish all over it so its hard to get away from you :o
