  1. Wow this thread is boring. Splinter, your sig seems to be breaking our rules - now as you're not being a trouble maker I assume you'll rush off and change it.

    You're boring.

Can you please arrange for my forum membership to be cancelled and fully removed, as I have asked before and a time before that.

I dont really want to help anyone out on here anymore or be associated with certain people on here, you included danskin

    Thank you.

  2. I am sorry earache, but your constant moaning has really annoyed me.

The fact that you have gone on as really annoyed me. You let us know that you have a skin about 5 hours before a meeting when everyone is busy doing things. You have had all week to tell us that you are doing, or in fact have a skin, and you choose right before the meeting. Thats bang out of order in my opinion, and in fact, if no one submits any skins next week, I may even tell Dan not to bother with yours for the rudeness that you have shown.

I dont expect to hear anything else said on the subject, or you wont be having your skin in the game at all.

    Johno I

A simple no would have sufficed. I wouldnt bother racing if thats how people get spoken to.

You think the above is being told politley?

How many times do I need to prove you wrong. Read the thread and you will see.

I'm obviously wrong like everyone else. Sorry you may need to tell us one more time hoow you're right all the time so we all get it.

but there is no need for the constant snide remarks constantly berating either me or the team

I think I have made one comment following on from yours. The other times have just been comments which you seem to jump on if they are suggesting anything other than your "almighty" has said.

The reason why I mentioned you not being a paid member is because in my eyes you are trying to cause trouble

I dont come on here to cause trouble. I as much as anyone else would go out of my way to help people in any form or other as I have done, behind closed doors mostly. I wont help people crack models etc.

I hate people quoting like that, but it was easier to explain that way. I wasnt having a go at the race format from last night but the alternating late/early starts each week.

  3. Quote Johno:

You have made comments such as as the last comment in your post many time this year, which I deem to be trying to cause trouble. For a guy that doesnt race UK Dirt rfactor F1, you sure have a lot to say for yourself., and I have to ask the question is it to benifit UK Dirt rfactor F1, or is it just to cause trouble? This is the second time in less than a week that you have tried to do as such, although you did sort of back track with the earache thing, but on that thread you actually commented without knowing all the facts.

but I am getting really annoyed at the number of times you wish to try and cause trouble within UK Dirt, and especially as you dont even race here any more, and have not paid your server fees

    ____________________________

....AND YOU'RE the main reason I dont race rFactor this year because amongst other ukdirt issues, the stupid race format is one thing that 85% people dont like but you still go ahead with it. I have raced ukdirt since 2003 so dont expect to hear "if you dont like it its tough" kind of comments and which I said I wouldnt race this season. I do feel the way it is currently run it is going down the pan.

I didnt backtrack on the earcahe post (you must be his best mate or something). I did know all the facts of what I was talking about, so, did you want me to post the full details n how to crack an rFactor model. I think some modelamkers would have had something to say.

I would race here EVERY week but I was basically told to go away at beginning of the season so I have done. rFactor is the 1st time I have come across such a realistic stockcar simulation and I love it. F1 Heat just was too arcadey for me having raced sims and real cars since I was 8. But once again you imply..."you havent paid your server fees so shut up"

  4. fair enough johno thanks for ur crappy PM

You summed up the reason I dont race here in the first place.

It isnt a one man stand against this league whatsoever so you're the one that misunderstands. Is no one entitled to have an opinion. You just ignore what people say if its not what you want to hear and I would be racing here if you didnt take charge of admin.

    regards.

PS Please cancel my forum account

    thank you

  5. Ok Johno cheers, il get the old banger notepad out and make a new page :)

Yes its great to stay as close as possible to real life johno but there is certain formats that I feel its not worth following.

A two formula format isnt ideal because as mentioned quite a few drivers cannot, or do not, wish to race one formula or another. F1's and F2's maybe a little more likely, but not Hot Rods and F1's and all it means is they are sat at their computer waiting around for 15 minutes at a time. At least in real life you can chat, fix your car or wander around the pits. If you were short of days left in the week then maybe. I can also imagine it must have been massively rushed through and probably ran over (due to just trying to fit too much into a meeting)

Secondly people have lives. On a Wednesday they might be out at Football practise, Snooker club or the like, so I feel a 2-day qualifier is unfair for drivers as they would have to comit to both days. In real life it makes sense as it means the less travel for the drivers etc. Online it makes no practical sense or has any advantage whatsoever other than trying to make it sound 'cool' for you guys running the "2 day event!"

You guys should listen to youir member a little more instead of ignoring them all the time.

  6. I hope Eus has understood the answer now. No offence to him.

Earache why dont you just stay out of certain things. You have nothing interesting to say - and nothing to add - so why stir up arguments on so many threads.

  7. Since when were you a moderator??

I answered his question. I dont think a modelmaker would like me to give any more info.

Eus if you want to view your paintjob you should do it like everyone else and view it in the game, I still find it a lot easier than painting, converting, then viewing than it was with Heat. Just alt+tab from rfactor to photoshop

Earache, if you havent got anything good to say, dont bother gettin ur little sticky fingers typing

  8. MoR i have had a quick play tonight, and have found what seems to be a 'hole' in the track. Where the startes bo is on the home straight, jsut before the start line painted on the track, if you ride very close to or along the wall the car seems to fall slightly then 'bounce' back up as if it has hit a ledge. I also noticed this on the other side of the track by the pit gate.

It's not a huge problem, I only noticed it as i tend to get very close to or slightly slide along the wall on a hot lap and using bonnet cam the 'bounce' is slightly anoying.

I have made a video which shows what i mean more clearly

    NIR_Hole.zip

That'll teach you not to ride along the wall down the straights :011::thumbup:

  9. Extract the files in the atached zip file to your NIR directory, as default this will be C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations\NIR.

This is not an official fix and I do not have permission from Mor to post it so if he would like it removed I will do so.

Dam beat me to it, was just about to do that when I got home lol

  10. Ok, i updated my ATI drivers up to the latest patch released in july 08 and ran the game on the settings i usually use with no joy.

Ive changed the DX level's (7,8,9)

Changed the screen resolutions (16 + 32bit) wit hthe different types of DX

Changed all my graphics settings to run the lowest possible with all the different DX levels

Tried running rfactor with VSync turned on and off (off is what i usually use)

Tried running the game in a window with all the different DX levels.

Tried using the "Auto" dx level.

Tried all 3 'Anti Aliasing' levels and "none" which was defualt didnt work either

I cant think of anything else i can try :(

Sometimes older drivers can work better.

Seems like you've tried most of the things you can though and that I wudda done.

Maybe there is a program similar to 3DAnalyse that can bypass the shader problem??

  11. Superb track MoR. Love it already and only done 20/30 laps.

Mine works fine, and I am afraid I dont know where to find all the data from. All I know is I run it on dx7, xp, and the full version of rfactor.

    Cheers

    Johno

I've done 200+laps on both Rods and F1 version and love it. The detail around the circuit is fantastic including the benches outside the bar, the hot dog stands etc and even bev greenhalf and paul gerrard in the commentary box with their baseball caps on to shade from the oncoming sunshine. Epic!!! track!!!, maybe a few vans, coaches, trailers, and the burger van in the pits is all thats missing! Oh and the entrance from the field near the pits toilets, but that can come easily with the full version lol

I didnt think anyone would get to the level of freeW, but I think you have surpassed it! I hope you have the time and motivation to make at least one more track m8.

PS I think Baarlow wud make a great addition now we have most modern day tracks  (ie Buxton and Cowdenbeath are in hand for 2009!!) Hopefully Wrighty can try one more track as well following his sucess of Skeggie...after he's finished his other comittments tho hehe

  12. Tried all different settings.

    Got latest drivers.

    Doing my head in now.

Works on desktop but not lappy and working away from tomorrow morning for two weeks so will miss both Euro's unless Mor or some other knowledgeable person finds a fix

Well tried Beef, I'm sure the answers out there. At least if everyone trying posts what they have done it will help others a little. Hopefully both Euro's this Sunday and on Wednesday will be acheivable :coffee::thumbs_up:

  13. would somebody be able to do me a skin plz

i would like the fwj downbar car done like his current shale 1

or 1 like andy smiths please with the smith chassis

if it can be done can someboby let me no please

    the number is 59

    name jason clow

and the roof will need to be yellow please but everything else exactly the same as the fwj or smith car please

i can get the pictures if needed aswell

current ukdirt rules dont allow copies of the real car for ukdirt league i dont think, so best to recreate the cars with a slight 'twist', say wiv diff signs, etc. otherwise there'd be 10 drivers with silver wainman chassis ;)

  14. I take it people have tried diff resoultion and tried the diff shader levels, DX7, DX8, DX9 etc then tried changing the texture filters and track details/shadow details in the game?

Its something thats hard to fix unless its happening to you. MoR hasnt got the problem on his pc so he cant check. I cant find much specific info on google tho  apart from loads of threads about ATI not supporting different shaders

  15. I have had enough experience literally over the last 5 years with 4 ATI graphics cards to tell you its time to FU.C'K it off and get another brand. I liked their features at first but can tell you they are just gimmicks at a cheap price. Their incompatabilities with all sorts of hardware, applications & games have caused me hours, if not days, of frustrations.

Hopefully a fix will be sorted by MoR soon though.

  16. If anyone could get that program (or a similar one) to work, that I posted earlier, it bypasses certain shader problems for most games, I used to use it to get games working with graphics cards which in theory weren't supposed to work. You will have to research how to get it working with rfactor I am afraid though.

This is until MoR has time to check out whats causing the problem exactly.

Allstar the track has been 'packed' together so you will not find the individual file through windows but the game 'sees' it still and then the graphics card doesnt support the shader
