You can race with novice cars for a grading period, You would probably get more people offering to paint cars if you did a couple of meetings and showed that they would be used. Otherwise you will probably struggle to get a car painted!

Hi Twisty,
As Paul has said, Most people use Desktops to run rFactor, I know of a few people whom use laptops but not sure on the spec. I definately wouldn't purchase an Alienware computer/laptop as you can build one much cheaper yourself or also buy a built rig from Overclockers/Scan etc.
