I can't race tomorrow but good luck all.

I think your right Drumb. I'll mess with the seating positions and viewing options. Would move straight back to the smith but will have to wait till next season now. Thanks for your advise guys.

Im not really certain but irrespective of which chassis you opt for the default setup should be the same & work equally well? Can anyone clarify this? I always assumed that we were all starting from a blank template, where theoretically at least you should get the same times with any chassis & it is driving technique & ability that makes for quicker laptimes? I agree and understand it should be the same for all chassis which is why I mentioned it likely to be all in my head but it strange that i can jump into another chassis using the same setup and go better. Obviously i need to mess with it alot more. If not then wait till next season and change. Cheers Matty.

It was good to see you back Aub. I watched the battle between you, Tom and Dan - You was unlucky to get caught but like you said it was a great timed shot by Tom. Would have made a great video.

Thanks for your reply Matty. Its the same guide where I have setup my setup. Like i said if i use smith chassis (i haven't tried the others) I can get near perfect laps and this issue doesnt feel like its there. Maybe i need to tweak the setup for this chassis compared to the smith one. Strange.

At the start of the season i started with the smith chassis's. I changed them in the second skinpack because i thought that my FWJ looked better once I finished them. Since then on both surfaces I have a wierd handling issue which is making the racing alot harder and when i get to the end of the meeting i have not enjoyed it at all. I'm not after lots of points, even if i only scored a few and enjoyed it i would feel better about it. This will sound strange and i think it is to do with my driving style. Its hard to explain but Half way through the bend it seems like the car is on a pivot, its really hard to keep it too the curb and exiting the bends are awful which normally means me spinning or hitting the fence. I have tried alot of things. Entering the bend slower, faster, messed with braking, inside weight, springs and the same feeling is there. As i know its probably a "all in your mind" issue i have altered the view which i see from the cockpit and still the same. A few of you have even sent me setups. Thanks. When i have practiced in the servers i do like 100 laps with the FWJ car and then swap it for the smith / stu / falding cars and my corner is near perfect and my lap times are miles better within a few laps. I have spent 20+ hours a week practicing with them and just can't get to grip with it. I really want to get on well if the car. Its hard to explain but i know instantly that its doing it. Probably wont make sense to you lol. Does anyone have any idea's what might help as the further i continue the worst i am feeling about it. Really regretting doing the chassis change! doh!

WD Tom. After the first few laps of the final i decided to pull off and watch the battle for the title. I am not a fan of this track and got more annoyed with it throughout the meeting. Guess its the same reason for the booking numbers. Back to the shale next week so hopefully I can get some better results.

Decided that its time to get the RCE out of the rear of the garage. Repainted and ready to go! Hopefully bring me a little more luck than the Randall I have been using on tarmac. New or revised shale might be on its way too....

Hi guys. I have been trying to sort out my tarmac F2 setups for sometime and seem to make no progress. I can be very quick on shale but on tarmac i struggle with straight line speed, corner handling etc...Just want to check that I'm setting a few things up. It gets to the point where i don't like racing tarmac and i really want to. I'm really trying to sort it out and hopefully one of you out there might help me out. If there is any tips on setups please reply or PM me them - anything would be much appreciated. In the options for the chassis what are people setting for: Front right BIAS adjuster - left at 100% Axle Lead - I have been running this parallel Thanks Southy

Thanks for sorting the link out Dave.

I will post it somewhere else later. I think Dave488 is looking at having it uploaded into the download section of the website.

I have updated the link to the download above.

Due to the release of a revised Cowdenbeath it has been decided that the British Championship will be held at the new track. A big thanks to Madcowie for looking into this and making the changes i think its much better, as the installer says PLEASE REMOVE YOUR OLD VERSION OF COWDENBEATH BEFORE ADDING THIS 1 also DELETE YOUR COWDENBEATH HAT FILE found in C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor\UserData\LOG\HAT or C:\Program Files\rFactor\UserData\LOG\HAT, i have added this to the servers now and the download is working on the ukdirt site >>NEW LINK IS HERE<<

God knows how people managed to finish races....lol Had to leave early but first race I lost my front wheel on the first bend. 2nd Heat I managed to get into the lead with 5 to go and got hit by a flying car and then crashed in ht3. WD MoR.

Where can I find that signs pack?
-
Does anyone have any? I need a good one to go now the side of my new F2.

A new version of Cowdenbeath has been release thanks to Madcowie who has asked me to release it on this forum. Hopefully someone will soon upload this onto the website. I have added it to my MediaFire account for download which can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?gga4d8odrgr324v The changes include:- 1 Ripping the inside out 2 Repainting the wall to metal plating 3 Removing the anti wall ride on the straights only Thanks Southy

WD Leech for the final win and DanSkin for top points. I really enjoyed the racing tonight - think its my best meeting from red. Got caught up in my heats by collecting some spinning cars but managed to scrap for some points. The final was a very hard race for me (my heart beating like mad after it) so i was happy with the 6th place and was expecting to struggle for a top 10 in GN but after a few laps Robin past me and I saw the SS in mirror, looked again and they were gone so guess they were battling hard. Just could not catch Robin so WD, Although Leech nearly changed it on the last few bends! See you all next week.

Unlucky Mav. It is a bad track for the F1's if there are too many cars. I had a good points score last year so glad I didn't expect the same again lol
