What time do you have to get there to avoid the mad rush?
-
You don't need to worry about that, just click Open and everything should be working fine

Ok, once you have downloaded the file, you will need to unzip it using Winzip. If you open the folder you will see something like this, one way to open up the reflective floor is to double click on the icon labelled "reflective floor" I have highlighted it with the red arrow. Double click that and it should open it up. [attachmentid=10845] If you already have 3D Max open and running, you can open the reflective floor, (in max on the top) click File ---> Open You will then see this come up.. [attachmentid=10846] Click on the down arrow highlighted, then find the location of the reflective floor, it will probably be on the Desktop, when you find it double click on it and it will open. But say for example that you already have a 3d max file with your legends car in, and you want to add the reflective floor to the existing scene, to do that, again at the top of the screen click File --> Then click "Merge" Then, in the same way as i explained before find the file and double click it. Then you will see this screen.. [attachmentid=10847] First click "All" that will select "Omni01" and "Plane02" then click the OK button. That will merge (add) the reflective floor and the lighting to the current scene. Hope that answers your question, if not then ask again

Heres Team Plonk traveling to Essex for the most destructive meeting of the year! This is also the latest scene iv created [attachmentid=10693] We're bringing plenty of ammo! [attachmentid=10691] [attachmentid=10690] Comments Welcome

It looks like that you have scaled it out of proportion, when you are using the scale tool, when you select the car and have the scale "triangle thing" make sure you put the curser in the middle of the triangle, then hold down the mouse and move the mouse forward and backwards, if you only select the side of the scale tool it will scale the object out of proportion and warp it like that. Rendering isn't easy to learn, but apart from that its a good attempt

Hello, 2 questions, In max when you move or rotate your view the objects in the scene stay "normal" but I accidentally pressed a load of keys by mistake and don't know what I done, iv re-set max but it hasn't cured the problem, the problem is this: When I move about, I press the middle mouse button (scroller wheel) and press left/right Alt, when this happens the objects disappear and are replaced with these box outlines while moving Stationary [attachmentid=10558] While moving my view of the objects go like this.... [attachmentid=10559] As I said it was fine before I pressed all the keys, and resetting max doesn’t cure it. My second question is: If I have an object, a wheel for example, I select it and want to move my view around it, but the "view rotation" I think is centered to rotate around the centre of the scene, but I want it to rotate around the object, the object being the centre. Example, currently I have a wheel in a scene like this; [attachmentid=10560] As I rotate my view to see the other side of the wheel, because the view rotation isn't centred to the wheel the view goes way off course [attachmentid=10561] So can anyone please tell me how to centre the rotation to the wheel? Thanks very much for reading Any help truly appreciated Rikard
