splinter Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 [attachmentid=6132] About 3.000 cars were stored there, most from the 60´s and 70´s.
Rikard Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 I think its sad seeing old lonely cars sitting in a filed somewhere, rusting up and disintegrating with no one to love them...... Im sure Erik will agree lol
erik Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 I think its sad seeing old lonely cars sitting in a filed somewhere, rusting up and disintegrating with no one to love them...... Im sure Erik will agree lol Yes, I agree with that. They should still be on the road, and they would be if their owners had bothered to look after them properly.
Crazy Craig Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 On the pic above, is it just me or is there a limo in it. About 3rd row in a white/rusty long looking thing with no bennet or wing. Craig
Rikard Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 [attachmentid=6132] Id love to go up to the owner of the scrap yard and ask to buy the car right in the center lol
Crazy Craig Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 [attachmentid=6149] the amount of money they could make from that lot lol. not just selling them, but tours around the yard for people to just come and have a look
martwisely Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Id love to go up to the owner of the scrap yard and ask to buy the car right in the center lol Nice classics

Andymek Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Here's one for all the Ford lovers amongst us!!
splinter Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Two RS2000 shells there. What a waste! ....get em on the track!
Andymek Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Two RS2000 shells there. What a waste! At least half a dozen in there Chris Pic was taken a while back, and since then there's been some fantastic bits of kit come 'n gone RS Turbos, Series 1 & 2, Sierra, Sapphire & Escort Cossies as well as Anglias,Cortinas etc ...A classic ford collectors heaven!!! The guy used to have a website with all his stuff listed but for some reason it aint listed anymore "oldfordsneverdie" was the name of the site, couldnt remember if it was .co.uk or .com but couldnt get any of the 2 combinations to come up here
FbF 656 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 finally found this pic i been after, i took this pic a few months ago. and the jag is still there. we first found it when was about 10 years old playing about
Rikard Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 looks in a rather sorry state, and to think once upon a time it was someones pride and joy! bought brands new and shiny from a Jaguar garag all that time ago, and now sits there rotting, hope somone can make use of it
FbF 656 Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 looks in a rather sorry state, and to think once upon a time it was someones pride and joy! bought brands new and shiny from a Jaguar garag all that time ago, and now sits there rotting, hope somone can make use of it you wouldent mate its totally gone, all interior has rotted away, no engine or box no grile, bumpers. and the body has rotted beyond belief, still nice piece of tin. i wouldent mind it as a garden ornament!
erik Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 I don't particularly like it, assuming that is a MK2 Jag. The grille seems to have gone so I can't tell. FbF by any chance did you just post that to wind me up?
Marcy_Boi#133 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 FbF by any chance did you just post that to wind me up? Hope so! IT could be a Daimler 250 or a Mk 2 Jag, either way it's past it!
FbF 656 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 its a mk2 definatly, jag badge is still on steering wheel. and eric, no i didnt post it to wind you up. i think its a really nice photo of a nice undistirbed mk2, if you get wound up be rusty cars then your more of a nob than i thought.
lewis208 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 erik has feelings for the car i think hes been watching to much herbie! cheerz tombo509
mcrew Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 Eriks right, that is a waste of a lovely old jag. It wouldve been far better off it had been stripped and raced!
erik Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 I don't get wound up about rusty cars, I like to see rusty Granadas/Sierras. But ha ha, you can't race that particular Mk2 But some of the body panels might still be some use to a Mk2 RESTORER! (A restorer is someone who returns a rotting/damaged classic to a roadworthy state, rather than just stripping it, painting rude words on it and thrashing round in bumper cars in a field).
Budge313 Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 (A restorer is someone who returns a rotting/damaged classic to a roadworthy state, rather than just stripping it, painting rude words on it and thrashing round in bumper cars in a field). LMAO well said

(A restorer is someone who returns a rotting/damaged classic to a roadworthy state, rather than just stripping it, painting rude words on it and thrashing round in bumper cars in a field). thats a lil bit of a sl*g off at the least as people dont just "paint rude words" on cars hundreds of pounds gets spent on cars all the time and i cant rember a car with a rude word on lol unless u find pikey or t*t a rude word, its not just "bumper cars in a feild" either maybe up t'north you dont have stadiums maybe up t'north you just race cars with no cages in etc but what youve said in that post has pis*ed me off and will alot of other banger drivers and fans alike i think that put a big black cross next to ya name along with a few more i guess! rodder331
erik Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 (edited) I didn't mean to offend you, but up here, bangers are little more than bumper cars in a field. Not nearly as advanced as Hotrods, Saloons or even Minis. They are good to watch though. Edited June 27, 2006 by erik
