I'm not an expert on damage rendering by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought it might be helpful to produce the guide. I only spent about 10 minutes on it, and its not a pretty tutorial but it should do the job. OMG, three downloads already, that was quick.

Vixtro Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Good tutorial but when I try it on any of my cars the movement axis doesn't show up and I can only move it up or down
erik Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Good tutorial but when I try it on any of my cars the movement axis doesn't show up and I can only move it up or down You will need to right click it and choose move. If you have, make sure you are doing this in perspective view. If not, switch to perspective view. If it still doesn't work, perhaps try resetting Max?
Rikard Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Great renders guys, they look really good
The London Allstar Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Good guide mate (only just finished TNB lol) just one problem, some of my cars are complete, for example the mk2 is not split into the front end, doors, boot ect How would i damage render that?
The London Allstar Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Forget it, i figured it out is it just me or do the dots come thru the car, say if ur doing the roof from above, u can see the floor ones
