Ham 775 Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 Big news in the world of national hot rods this afternoon is the suspension for 1 year with immediate effect of the national champion and english points leader Neal Smith 657 for the use of "volatile substances associated with tyre softners" More is on the front page of nationalhotrod.com but there aren't too many details at the moment really. Suffice to say Neal is not impressed and it would appear he will not return to the sport. Like him or not this is a real shame

A lot of drivers are turning their backs on the formula due to new rules and escalating costs. It was only time I suppose following the 2 new tyres per meeting rule came in, that drivers would be caught trying to get more out of them.... Who will be next?
