Guest Scrapman53 Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Anyone know how to get rid of these? I've tried Panda activescan, it picks them up but doesn't disinfect or delete them. Adaware, Spybot, Microsoft Spyware prog, AVG and Housecall don't even pick them up! The main symptom I've had since picking them up is my Internet connection taking ages to connect. (Missed 3 Banger heats tonight ) Any help would be welcome, Thx in advance. But only deleted obvious things with it. There's a couple I'm not sure about. I'll have a look at that site though. Cheers m8.

Ray 21 Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Hi pete try this site http://www.compu-docs.com/links.htm i think there a program near the bottom for slowing your internet speed down cheers Ray
F2-Fan Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I would totally empty your temporary internet file folder too that will wipe most of them out.
Guest Scrapman53 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Got rid of the virus using Hijackthis on my own, still got 1 entry for mediatickets and 1 for purityscan showing up on Panda, but they're in the memory so keep getting them when I reboot. I've found a forum that gives you instructions on how to remove mediatickets manually so gonna try that and then I'll do a search on the same forum for removing purityscan. Thanks for the links and info lads.
