I followed the instructions on how to turn a .TGA file into a .TEX file, and it isn't working. I really want to get my skin into the game, as it is a replica of my cousins Legends car, on a Hot-Rod base. Thanks Matt. PS, below is a JPG version of the skin I am making. reg126 Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 try using WINRESTOOLS ..which you can get from the modsquad site for converting..its easier and quicker than the old mktex method...just use the mktex part from that useful set of tools and away you go. do make sure though the tga is 512 by 512 pixels or the other 2 formats or it will not work
Matt Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 I have downloaded the WinResTools, and it won't let me select the file. It only have trk, car, and res files, and I need to get my TGA file.

reg126 Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 in the winrestools make sure the top left mktex bit is highlighted to convert tga to tex...if it wont convert then your tga is not right in some way..eg 513 by 513 pixels or named wrong etc
