You could design and build a drinks dispenser... plenty of research should help ;)

where are the pedals

i use the force of gravity - a very strong force which gives an acceleration of 10m/s-2

that means every second, your velocity increases by 10m/s

therefore, after 10s, i'll be travelling at 100m/s

ps. accelaration is vertically, so i'd have to be falling through a vacuum (no air resistance)

physics lesson over

don't under-estimate gravity

9.81ms-2 acually :scared15:

thats neat damo :appl:

250cc are fast aren't they

biggest engine size in kart racing i think

we never actualy timed the 0-60 but its in the region of 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 160mph+ at thruxton. laptimes at most uk tracks are quicker than formula 3's and btcc and round donnington park a 250cc went quicker than a f1 car.

to give u some idea the straight at fulbeck is 260 metres, u come onto it at about 30mph. my data logger recorded a topspeed of 100mph at the end.

power to weight ratio is 400 bhp/tonne. to compare a ferrari f40 is 434 bhp/tonne. put plainly ive never come across anything yet on 4 wheels as fast as my kart. lol.

i have sumo powered skyline :D quater mile time 8.699 secs :D

  • 4 weeks later...

I've just refurbished my bike and trailer

I've done some signwriting with the paintbrush, using a scribe to mark out

I now need to upgrade the 'www.timandalex.com' bit coz it looks a little tatty

Brush painted some stars on as well using Scratch Repair Paint (domestic gloss white) from Halfords (you get a really fine brush and a small nib)

I put some smaller wheels on the trailer and moved the wheels forward a bit, as well as adding some extra strengthening

I made a small compartment for the puncture repair kit and some tools

Smaller wheels make the handling much better, coz its less wobbly and ropey.

I picked up another free bike from the tip today with the bike and trailer and salvaged loads of spares.
