Daz815 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Hi, i am wanting 2 get banger racing onto the essentials ( i do not have the NASCAR heat game, ive downloaded the essentials as guided) so it works on nascar heat and i have been trying to get it to work for 5 days now and i am getting tired of it. I am really into banger racing and have done a few real life races myself in the junior bangers. I am desprite to get this working properly and to see what its like before i chose to play online and maybe compete in the leagues. My main problem is that wen i click on the NHeat.exe in my hasbro interactive/NASCAR Heat folder it starts up with the NASCAR heat game instead of my bangers that i downloaded off UKdirt site. ( Before i deleted everything i played with some files and a different background and some music came up and now its back to original NASCAR heat background and music) How do i sort this? Secondly, when i go to choose a car once i have clicked on single player it comes up with all the NASCAR heat cars. Should they have been replaced by the banger or what? If i click on any of the cars it takes me to the tracks choosing menu, and all of the tracks i have downloaded are their and working. When i press 'Race' it takes me to the track i chose and the car i chose and sometimes it comes up with Red NASCAR heat cars and sometimes NASCAR heat cars but with decoration on the (Decals, paint choices, colours, ect..) Why wont the bangers i selected in the NASCAR heat/ukdirtbangers BHCM.exe ( like unliited, civil war, under 2 litre) work in-game!?!? Please can you help me with this, i would really appreciate it. i have tried for a whole 5 days and i still can't get it to work Thank's, Dazza
Nick M48 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Have you downloaded and installed any skin packs?

Nick M48 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Make sure you have followed the instructions on the uk-dirt website exactly Install the team skinpack, use the car manager to select the team skinpack then all should be ok.
Daz815 Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 (edited) okay mate ill try it again, i will delete everything out of my nascar interactive folder. before i install the banger teams shall i install the 3 patches for bangers ( I know the 3rd 1 is banger 2007). do i also need to add the all the tracks and install them too? 1. install essentials 2. install 3 banger patches 3. install the teams bangers skins 4. install all banger tracks 5. test if it works this time this the correct order? thx daz Edited June 1, 2007 by Dazmyster

Nick M48 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 How are you launching the Banger mod, from an icon on your desktop?
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 (edited) no i am launching it from... My computer/(c:)local disk/program files/hasbro interactive/NASCAR heat and then i click NHeat.exe i downloaded every files inc essentials to this folder and it seems to be creating a folder in My computer/my documents for some reason called UK dirt. this folder contains the following... head0.cvs head1.cvs head2.cvs head3.cvs options.cfg paint0.tex paint1.tex paint2.tex paint3.tex []paint <-( in this paint folder is) paint0.cvs paint1.cvs paint2.cvs paint3.cvs Because i saw it was taking data from this file i deleted everything to do with uk dirt off my computer that i downloaded. i then started again with installing these files in order. Essentials, UK-dirt banger version 1.0, UK-dirt banger version 1.1, Banger update 2007, Team skinpack part 1, Team skinpack patch and then i went to play it. i did the same thing again with red cars, still not being able to pick the bangers on the game only the nascar heat stock cars names, number and drivers come up. Still the nascar heat backgroudn and music and before i tried the game i went on BCHM.exe and chose teams skin pack. i checked if it have created another UK dirt folder in my documents and it had with the same info in as i have shown above this paragrapgh. Why is this not working and i copied the sites instuctions exactly. what am i doing wrong still? thanks, Daz Edited June 2, 2007 by Dazmyster

Nick M48 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 It's been many years since I installed all this stuff and I've never used essentials so I'm a bit confused as to whats going on here, have you got a 'drivers.txt' file in your ukdirtbanger folder? if you have post up it's contents.
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 no, but i have a drivers text in my teams folder here it is... ; -------------- ; drivers.txt ; use caution when editing this file!!! ; Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 nick please could you send me your nascar heat folder via MSN? i am fed up of wasting more time on this. i can't seem to fix it and i give up. Add me on MSN: daz.1991@hotmail.com thx daz
Nick M48 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 I really haven't got the time or bandwidth to send my whole folder, there's no point anyway, you have all the files you need, if you haven't got a drivers.txt file in your ukdirtbanger folder then you haven't selected the skinpack properly with the car manager.
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 i have re installed the whole lot just now and i have selected the team skinpack in BCHM.exe and wen i look in the ukdirtbangers folder i do have a drivers text with the team drivers and stuff in it.
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 i have just tested the game again and the only thing wrong is the cars. wen i race the nascar heat cars are red :S and before i chose a track you have to choose a driver, well they are just the normal narcar heat drivers and cars. The background and music is also nascar heat which i am not bothered about that much but if you know how to fix it, well please help. thanks daz
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 hey mate ive just fiddeled around with it and ive got it. the banger background with music is coming up nicely now. all's that needs doing is getting to race. demonstone Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 (edited) not sure if this would help i noticed your drivers txt file contains more than 40 entries. i know with the f1's wen you do this all the cars change back to nascars. but its with bangers you got probs and ive not looked at em also to quote your first post ( i do not have the NASCAR heat game) is this just a typo Edited June 2, 2007 by demonstone
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 how many should i have then? shall i delete some as 40 is too many? these cars/skins are default which i downloaded, i havnt added to them at all
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 what do you mean by typo? i dont have the nascar heat game ( the disk ect ) so i have downloaded the essentials which uk dirt provides if you dont have nascar heat the actual game not demo
demonstone Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 thats ya problem m8 you need the nascar heat game to run these mods you will need to buy it me thinks from uk dirt
Daz815 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 well it says on their site that you dont need the full game to run the mods. here what it says... Installing NASCAR Heat Essentials This will install all the essential files required to run UK-Dirt mods and tracks. You don't need to have neither demo nor full version of NASCAR Heat installed to play the UK-Dirt mods. This install will take care of everything.
demonstone Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 ok never looked at essentials pack so i wouldnt know that part
