80% of these pictures are of no use what so ever for moddeling, the pictures for the templete need to be 100% square on and taken from a neiling position so the roof etc is all square, otherwise the car will turn out the wrong shape and look crap. Anyone can do a google pic search for a car and post them on here. :3:

 

fbf is right, the pictures for modelling need to be exactly right, do to the amount of forum space this thread is taking up, it might as well be deleted.

Pretty much all the pics on here are either hosted on photobucket or other photohosting sites so as not to take up the forum space? :shrug: so its only writing thats taking up the space,and to be honest theres so much other rubbish posts on here asking for the same 3ds file or template over and over again,why not delete all those posts with all there doubled up attachments? and anyways theres plenty of nice pictures that other ppl have posted,before i started this thread,there were plenty of posts where ppl just put a couple of pics in,whats the point in that? so many different threads,at least this is just one thread with everything in it and others can add to it instead of starting their own post?

I started the thread to try help ppl out,saving ppl the time & hassle trawling through the net,looking for pictures, :shrug:

Yes but there are NONE of the kind of cars that should be modelled for the game. You look for the kind of cars you see around the raceways, all I see here is the rarest of rare cars that would never grace the raceways. Lets have some real banger cars, the ones modellers want are where you know someone who's prepping a banger and can take the pictures after it's all been painted the one colour with all the right bits on.

right soooo the yanks and rileys are raced rileys may of died down over the years but they haved graced the raceways alright there's some stupid cars but lets be honest the forums so slow this makes no difference!

I did suggest, about 12 months ago now, a thread where templates for skinpainting, could be posted ( i.e all those new cars that come out, that everyone posts countless threads, asking for them), but that was total ignored.

 

If somebody took out time to make 1 sticky thread for templates, 1 sticky thread for 3ds files, and 1 sticky thread for ' practical' photos for the modelers, then so many ' crap' threads would not be required as all the relevent bits would be in the relevent three sticky topics.

 

I suppose that idea will just be ignored again as it has not been suggested by ' the right' forum member. :coffee:

I felt like putting similar comments to those of fbf. Modellers are likely to do their own searches for photos..and may need many angle shots as well as square on ones to get shaping details looking right. Subject matter is also important...no good modelling ultra rare cars really. I prefer classics so will mainly model them and when doing so may work off 30 or more pictures per model. THE VERY BEST PICTURES are those taken square on with wide angle lenses as they are less distorted. Additionally photos taken on dull days are better as reflections and bright spots are much less meaning less work on correct shading if using them for template construction.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I took these pics of a Vectra - a future bluebird or cav replacement in banger racing

I think it would be a good addition to the selection of unders

I know there's a little paintjob on the side but it shouldn't be too much of a problem
