Apologies firstly if this question has been asked previously!!

I recently updated my MSN Messenger to version 7,( not a great deal different from previous versions that I can see)

The problem I'm encountering is that, when someone on MSN tries to send me a file it is blocked and the message "This file has been blocked because it is potentially unsafe"

It seems to be .jpegs  that wont come through as mp3s seem fine shrug.gif

I can send files ok to anyone back

I initially thought it was because the person(s) sending me the files werent on Version 7 but folk on 7 sent me files with the same result!! jpegs  thumbs_down.gif  MP3s  thumbs_up.gif

During the course of me writing this out, Ballbreaker was good enough to help me out and sent files in various guises

AN MP3 sends ok as I said and a jpeg will only come through ok if its zipped up,

Can anyone tell me if thats how Messenger 7 operates now as it seems a bit of a nightmare if folk have to zip up everything they have to send me?

Any help gratefully received!!

Same for me m8, I had this prob a while back...went onto 6.2 for a bit but now on 7.0 again with the same problem.

Some wally at msn sent me a supposed fix for it but it didnt work so I assume we'll have to wait for a update fix.  Pathetic if you ask me
