TGA to TEX

this is my 1st post ! woo hoo!

 

anyway, basicly i've got a .tga file of a painted granada i have downloaded that mktex.exe thing and put it in my skin painting folder were my tga file is.

 

i follow'd the instructions to the guide on the ukdirt website but when i go on start-run and type in command the msdos box that comes up stays there. i type in MKTEX CAR421.TGA CAR421.TEX and the ms dos box just stays there with the text i typed in doing nothing.

 

am i doing anything wrong ?

 

any help greatly appreciated

Me personally i just right click on thje textures box and click run then it does it automatically

Its called textures on mine but its the 1 with the cog in and called MS-DOS Batch file

right got it in the game

now how do u get the words off the car e.g rear , bonnet , roof , drivers side etc off the car ?

obviously when u paint it you either select that layer and delete it or u rub them off when selecting thelayer (photoshop)

cheers for that prgram the other converter wasnt working and this 1 does the trick
