First time I've been in a proper race with rFactor, I tried it once with Brisca heat and wasn't really impressed - everyone was driving on shale like it was tarmac!

Tonight was so much better, really enjoyed it!

Thanks everyone who organised it.

I didnt perform quite so well as last week in the latter stages of the meeting, but really enjoyed the racing and was buzzing still after doing the results and points - so I took some pics. :)

Easing past LeeK to take a heat win...

(I didn't actually cause the whole thing.... honest)

Traffic early on in the final:

The last bend of the final (from my point of view)... I don't think there was a right line to take at this point!

[attachmentid=20180]

Personally I think the v0.2 update has improved contact a lot, really enjoyed some battles without having to worry about the odd twitch sending you wayward.

Hi all,

Well, about 2 and half hours on and i'm still buzzing from what was an excellent meeting, so thought i'd share some of my favorite bits, link Dan above!

Twas my first meeting using the wheel (and bonnet cam) tonight so wasn't expecting much, was one of the slowest, but i had some damn good fun! Better than being abit faster on a pad? Hell yeah!

A very busy Grand National!

[attachmentid=20182]

Fourwinds brakes abit too suddenly when he see's some dead cars on the bend..... and look who's there to make a mess of it, sending us both careering into the fence!

[attachmentid=20183]

Fozz puts in a big hit that spins me around early in the Final! Revenge would be sweet....

[attachmentid=20186]

I like this one cause it looks quite realistic. Hutch pushes me into and up a spinning Green Genie, leaving us both tangle near the pit gate!

[attachmentid=20187]

Near the end of the final I finally got a chance at revenge, and finally landed a hit without mucking myself up lol! A nice little push into a dead car! Notice PaulP lurking....

[attachmentid=20184]

Next bend (which was in fact, last bend) PaulP plants a big one on me, clattering me into the fence.

[attachmentid=20188]

Hope you liked the pics anyway. The contact seemed much more solid today, really excellent.

Cheers

MoR

PS - someone needs to post a picture of Aub spinning.........

The pics are great Mor, certainly some entertaining stuff going on. Thanks Dan for running a great meeting. My first chance to use a wheel which was sure a learning experience.

Any chance someone could put up the replays coz i keep forgetting to turn them on.

dunno if it was just my bad luck but couldn`t get going at all except for a few laps in GN,there always seemed to be spun cars in front :banghead2: not got the hang of hitting without spinning out which makes it a bit roddy for me but will come in time,cracking mod though,love it to bits,cyas next week

oh and cracking hit back MoR,great timing :thumbs_up:

With the exception of my graphics card overheating and causing the graphics to be misplaced on my screen, I quite enjoyed the racing. Happy to have led a heat and the Final, but the same old story for white tops, I couldn't hold on as errant cars caused me to spin and loose ground - BUT thats Stock Car Racing.

Found the contact abit annoying at times (not direct hits), these caused my car to spin unnecessarily, (especially when I'm trying to hang onto the lead!!!) but over time peoples judgement will increase and these spins will become less. It is very difficult to return your car back the racing way after a spin without getting in the way of oncoming drivers and then making sure you don't immediately spin again with accellerating too quickly!!!!

All in All :thumbup:

Thanks for the meeting last night guys really enjoyed it.

I think the patch has made a big difference to contact and although there were still a couple of people using flat out hits early on it even handled this much better.

The meeting was going really quickly till I called a race :blink: oh well I will know next time.

Nice pictures Hutch .... It is always good to see pictures where my car is pointing the right way on the track :)

My meeting was a bit like Aubs last night, although I did still manage to get some decent places.

The cars now seem to me like they have the weighty feel when you are driving them (just as before), but as soon as someone gives you a slight tap into the bend and you're on very slight opposite lock at the time (which is the fastest way round), then you lose the back end completely. It's like, A.there's no weight in the back end when contact is made (however slight it may be. Or, B. The contact is slightly exagerated. :shrug:

In saying that. Even if I did get spun, I just had to get the head down and keep racing flat out as nearly everyone else had a turn at "face the wrong way".

Still enjoyed the meeting though. Had some good races and battles. Thanks again Dan for running it, Wd to Drumbstick on winning the final and Matthew for top scoring. :thumbup:

Wonder which way is the best way through the corner in the final?

[attachmentid=20209]

By the looks of it, Tosh is heading for the only way round the bend. :rofl:
