elliott867 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 in the newquay cornish guardian it says that a company is building a resort on the theme park site and a wave centre where the track is now, and the track will close
Nemesis239 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 You aint gonna save it tbh ..... think autospeed and westworld should get together tho and have the last meeting at westworld the Blockbuster as it used to be ... none of this ppl not turning up because there unsure of where to go crap ... if it was at 1 track theres no denying it would be HUGE for its last ever meeting rather than just having a 6 car domestic like normall. That would be cool
elliott867 Posted October 25, 2007 Author Report Posted October 25, 2007 i've also heard that st.day is closing to be a landfill site
Ryano Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 i've also heard that st.day is closing to be a landfill site Doubt it
calum Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 well i think i might move to new zealand
Dazza290 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 There is always speculation regarding Cornish tracks as they are both near enough in the middle of no-where. I've heard that rumour about St Day for ages and ages now and it seems no further forward so I dont really beleive it will come off, yet. Such a shame that the track like Westworld isnt used to it's full potential anymore, as Steve said the old Blockbuster used to be one of the 'must not miss' meetings of the year and attracted by far and away the best drivers from the country and beyond for some proper hard banger racing. It's really silly though the current setup on the August Bank holiday, it doesnt help drivers or fans. Bring back the Blockbuster, like it used to be!
Aub Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 wouldnt worry to much standlake has been becoming a golf course for a bout 15 years
mcrew Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 It wouldve been far more helpful to put a link to the site of the tracks new owners, and then everyone could fill out the questionaire/feed back form. Who knows, if enough people give them enough good feedback about oval racing, maybe if the planning goes A over T for the surf park, they may consider giving the race track a go? Oh, the the site addy if anyone is interested is: http://www.retallacksurfside.co.uk/ ALL forms have to be emailed back by 31/10, so get writing!
