Help with options.def on vista

ive been helping my m8 by puttting banger heat on his computer.

 

ive done nascar heat essentials the 1.72e patch all tnb updates and all ukidrt banegr files all in order

 

and the game wont load and comes up with a crash.log

As far as I can remember the need for options.def is removed with the nocd patch so try reinstalling all patches.
